I had a Honda Trail 70. It was red. I felt like I was the coolest kid on the planet, I still do.

Newfie_buell - A fellow Sundowner rider! You are the first person I have ever heard of that rode one of these, I was beginning to think I was the only one...a rare breed indeed. Eventually the spring in the pull starter broke so I had to resort to removing it and wrapping a rope around the fly-wheel. The final straw was the float broke in the carb....hard to find Sachs parts in this neck of the woods. Finally I upgraded to this:

XL 250

Bad decisions... never keeping *all* of my bikes! I lust after them all. Sigh... if I could do it all over again...

My "bad decisions" didn't just revolve around selling all my bikes... I wish I still had my TR3 and MGB.

If you ever slid off the seat that 5 speed shifter...
If you were in ANY gear but first you MIGHT have come out OK.
I have as many good memories of that bicycle as I do of motorcycles.

Snuff-R-Nots!!! Jeez, Bomber, I'd almost forgot about those things!!

Tried 'em on the Triumph, but they'd fall out after a few miles--I guess those manly British exhaust pulses were too much for their puny little springs...

yes, I'm afraid we're both older than dirt...

My first bike was a CB360,

This was taken shortly after getting it...

New (to me) CB360

and this is what it looked like a couple months later...

CB360 my way!
Hooker Headers with Supertrapp baffles, K&N air filters, rejetted carbs, S&W shocks, air valved front forks, flat track handlebars, Dunlop Elites...I thought it was sooooo cool back then, but so did most of my friends, so I guess it was, for it's day.

Great memories.

1969 Honda S90. The perfect starter bike for a flat track wannabe. I'm the short one with the big grin.
