xb12s 06

I actually just need the cap, bolt and washer.

When I got to work this morning I found them all to be missing! Just fell off, and none of the dealers in the area have the parts.

If I don't hear from anyone by tomorrow I'll just order the parts, but I figured this might be quicker, I have to wait 2 weeks for parts.

Two weeks!!

That sucks.

You can get a new Brembo one from Knee Draggers.com in a couple of days for ten bucks. Rear brake reservoirs are pretty generic. Here is the Brembo. Looks a helluva lot like the one on my Lightning.

I would order the 20 cc. one. Here is the web site:

Natcherly you don't need to stay off the road. Just make sure the reservoir is full, and tape a vinyl cover on it till the new parts come.

Your dealer should be trying a little harder. Try some of our sponsors, like Stone Mountain, or Tilley's. If they don't have the part, ask them to do a search for you on the Harley net.

You might also try your local Yamazakisuki dealer: they have the same brake parts as the Buell for most part, made by Nissin.

Call Andy (Dave's replacement) @ Appleton. He'll fix you up quick. The dude will do backflips to earn your business if it makes you happy. I deal with him exclusively because he treats me right even though he's not the cheapest and I pay more for shipping than I would if I bought in my area (where there is a BW sponsor). Good service and a genuine appreciation for my business is worth something to me.

Thanks guys for the help. CHeck out what happened:

When I returned to pickup my bike I explained to the service tech that no other dealers in the area had the parts either. I must have sounded pretty bummed out and within ear shot of one of the managers. He had their lead tech take the parts off one of the Buells still in a crate to get me back on the road.

Fantastic! If you're in the DC area and haven't checked out Old Glory HD, please do, they are an excellent outfit and Buell friendly.

Thanks again all,

-Ras
