Too bad it'll probably get chopped. Watch for XB wheels being sold as 97 S1 wheels in the near future.

I am actually thinking this might be Foximus S1 he traded it and the guy sold the headlight so he would have put a diffrent light on. Also Fox put a moded XB belt tensioner on. Plus the air cleaner he custom made it from a jet ski

I actually like the bike. The duc tail was done pretty well, and follows the lines of the bike. It's had quite a bit of time and money spent on it, mostly to good effect, IMHO, which is why I think it's sad that it'll probably get chopped for its "screaming eagle" motor by some know nothing clown trying to build a "custom chopper" in his garage.

Those screamin' Eagle heads are late model, XB style heads with a factory milled deck, so they have have about a 1/2 point more compression than standard

I don't get it. What's so scammy about that ebay S1 with the duc rear? Why would it necessarily be chopped? Looks to be a decent bike that will sell for more than a choppable bike might sell for. Was fox's bike a lemon with a lot of hidden probs? If not, it just looks like the guy fixed her up and frankly appeared to do a pretty good job with the rear end. A lot better job than others I've seen. Actually looks pretty cool and pretty well put together. What am I missing here?

Nothing wrong woth the bike when Fox had it but From what I know this guys work is sub par he buys and mods bikes to sell them I talked with him when he bought it from Fox trying to buy parts he was selling he was not pleasent. He scammed Foximus and thats enough for me. If you look he had to mod the wiring harness that could be bad if not done correct.

What a POS, where's the oil tank ?, tubers don't need belt tensioners, how come he's left all the stuff that really needs upgrading.
Poxy skinny swing arm, banana gear shift, shitey front motor mount, std rear shock etc etc, this fashion for "custom hybrid XB/tubers" is getting boring and needs a line drawing under it, I havn't seen a good one yet.
I'm sure not all will agree but thats my opinion.

As they say where I come from

Funs fun but keep your arse off the pillow

p.s that carb and or air intake needs junking too

To amend Gusm' concerns...
As is... he turned the nitrous tank to the oil tank. I had built an aluminum under the seat tank that copies the stock tank.

Actually Tubers Do need belt tensioners. I machine that up. Sure you can run the belt sloppy, but why do that when you can fix the problem.

I left the metal swing arm on there, because I was in the middle of building a single sided swing arm.

I took off most of the nice components. When I sold him the bike. I removed my race tech rear shock, and replaced with stock.

If you are getting bored, I would love for you post up something youve built, if your done being grumpy and negative.

I put on the 41mm showa forks, as well as the ZTL2 caliper and magnesium front rim.
I rebuilt the whole motor with nice components, and mildly ported the head.
The Cam is a Andrews N4

I went through numerous intakes, and that was one dynoed the highest as area under the curve. It was a velocity stack I lathed up, and a filter from one of my race ski's.

As for the front motor mount, what makes that ? Its stock. Its properly aligned, and doesn't break. Its also about 2 pounds lighter than the aftermarket billet blocks.

If I were anything about where you came from, I'd probably be ashamed for having something in common with such arrogance.

I still think the ducati tail is ugly.

Back in the day 'we' were told to use the later Buell one from the X1.

It wasn't the mount which broke, but the mounting bolts which snapped, or worse, the head itself like mine did.

I looked at the billet ones available back then. As much as I like to have the best of everything when it comes to performance upgrades, I wasn't going to pay the money for the S&S or the other one from that rip off company, the only two available at the time.

The stock X1 mount has been perfect for 10 years or so. Having snapped the head, and the bolts a couple of times at least before it, no need for the billet money.

Shane, great pic of my S2 as I picked it up, in Detroit. I probably would have left it just like that seemingly forever, but I had the rear tire come out from under me pulling out of an alley, busting up the bodywork and scuffing the left bag pretty good, hence the original change to yellow bodywork sans bags and lowers. Then an overhaul of the bike made me want to paint, so I repaired the yellow bodywork and painted in flames as seen above.
