Would it be shrewd of Trump to include a major bombshell from the FISA DNC/FBI corruption memo in his SOTU speech tonight?

Not tonight; captive audience, to be sure, but poor optics IMO.

"It'll be a yuge audience."

I am very interested to see how the viewership numbers tonight stack up against the ratings from BHo's SOTU speeches.

If Trump pulls a measurably larger audience we'll have to try hard not to gloat.

If anyone’s interested, Scott Adams is going to do a live “periscope” commentary during the SOTU address. You can bet he’ll be pointing out POTUS’s masterful use of persuasion during the speech.

Which world do you live in?

I'm so thankful that I don't live in the world described by this bizarre character. DNC has gone full Communist. JFK would not be welcome in the DNC today.

So back to the FISA fraud/corruption memo... Will Trump opt to wield it like a battle axe, or quietly let justice take its course and use it as a political pursuader to force the Communists to play ball?

If Trump gets immigration reform through as he's proposed, it will be huge. Only the fringes of either side will be unsatisfied. The biggest problem remains low information voters, the legions of brainwashed by the leftist media propaganda.

The comments on the 'net last night during his...um...er...whatever that was were nothing short of brutal.

And I heard that Mad Maxine's rebuttal, scheduled to air on BET, was canceled.

For some reason ABC got left off the above chart, but they're proving themselves competitive for the top most negative anti-Trump news network. Get a load of this:

https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/curtis-houck/ 2018/01/30/abc-melts-down-over-divisive-gloomy-sad -sotu-speech-stokingracial

So black congressman have nothing to relate to because Trump didn't mention Africa???

It's divisive to talk about immigration, tax cuts, "In God we trust", and respect for our military and the flag of our union?

Full tilt derangement. Who believes this nonsense?

These leftist hacks are making themselves a laughing stock.

So back to the FISA fraud/corruption memo... Will Trump opt to wield it like a battle axe, or quietly let justice take its course and use it as a political pursuader to force the Communists to play ball?

That's a great question. I'm guessing the latter, in part because he's playing a long game.

I also continue to work on the belief that letting justice "take its course" in this regard involves Nunes, Grassley, Goodlatte and Horowitz, in that order. By the book, in other words, to increase the odds of successful prosecution when that time comes.

At some point Mueller "exonerates" P45 and Sessions gets to come out of hiding.

Things should get very interesting after that.

If Trump gets immigration reform through as he's proposed, it will be huge.

He's proven he can get things done (odd, since he sucks at politics...). However, his proposal poses an interesting challenge for the dems: a pathway to citizenship for an estimated 1.8 million illegals, but in return he gets funding for the wall and an end to state-abetted illegal immigration.

The dems are between a rock and a hard place.

I.e., the art of the deal.

The biggest problem remains low information voters, the legions of brainwashed by the leftist media propaganda.

Major challenge, to be sure, but he's well into the "correction" process in terms of neutering Pravda. I've already seen progress in this regard, and expect it to continue.

And it's interesting to note, once again, how much he's accomplished, in just his first year in office, in spite of the overwhelming push back represented in your graphic above.

And we're just getting started. : )

I agree FB. The mid-term election is key. Historic trends have the majority party losing seats/control. I pray that trend does not manifest this coming November, the memo may be key to assuring it doesn't.

During the Trump SOTU speech Pelosi sat, scowled, and picker her teeth. She sees the writing on the wall.

Would that some investigative journalist do an exposé on Pelosi and other such wealthy political swamp creatures. From my perspective, they are like comic book villains in real life.

quote:

Here tonight are two fathers and two mothers: Evelyn Rodriguez, Freddy Cuevas, Elizabeth Alvarado, and Robert Mickens. Their two teenage daughters — Kayla Cuevas and Nisa Mickens — were close friends on Long Island. But in September 2016, on the eve of Nisa’s 16th Birthday, neither of them came home.

These two precious girls were brutally murdered while walking together in their hometown. Six members of the savage gang MS-13 have been charged with Kayla and Nisa’s murders. Many of these gang members took advantage of glaring loopholes in our laws to enter the country as unaccompanied alien minors and wound up in Kayla and Nisa’s high school.

Evelyn, Elizabeth, Freddy, and Robert: Tonight, everyone in this chamber is praying for you. Everyone in America is grieving for you. And 320 million hearts are breaking for you. We cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow, but we can make sure that other families never have to endure this pain.

Tonight, I am calling on the Congress to finally close the deadly loopholes that have allowed MS-13, and other criminals, to break into our country. We have proposed new legislation that will fix our immigration laws, and support our ICE and Border Patrol Agents, so that this cannot ever happen again.

The United States is a compassionate nation. We are proud that we do more than any other country to help the needy, the struggling, and the underprivileged all over the world. But as President of the United States, my highest loyalty, my greatest compassion, and my constant concern is for America’s children, America’s struggling workers, and America’s forgotten communities. I want our youth to grow up to achieve great things. I want our poor to have their chance to rise.

So tonight, I am extending an open hand to work with members of both parties — Democrats and Republicans — to protect our citizens of every background, color, religion, and creed. My duty, and the sacred duty of every elected official in this chamber, is to defend Americans — to protect their safety, their families, their communities, and their right to the American Dream. Because Americans are dreamers, too.

Because Americans are dreamers, too.

Bravo, Mr. President.

MAGA

NBC cut to Pelosi several times. At the beginning it was reported that she was waving her arms trying to get some in her camp to not applaud.
She came off as a heckler. That picture is the least nasty of all the looks she had whenever they cut to her. Would have been interesting if they had a PIP camera lock on her for the whole speech. Ugly outtakes that would haunt anyone else.

Releasing a memo legally is treason.

Having classified mail on your bestie's husband's laptop, a felony, is to be ignored. As are the classified documents on your illegal private server and covert illegal messages from the President...... and $145 Million in bribes from Putin associates isn't newsworthy.

The republicans will lose seats. To expect otherwise is just setting yourselves up for disappointment. Every House seat is up, as usual, and Democrats are energized in their resistance to Trump. So Republicans will most likely lose seats in urban/suburban, typical Dem areas. The question is whether or not they can keep control of the House.

The Senate is a different question because the Candidate has to appeal to the entire state and there are seats that are coming up in states that Trump won. Look how Manchin has been behaving, actually sounding reasonable lately. The Dems also have 24 Senate seats up and the Republicans only 8. So things look much better in the Senate than in the House for the Republicans.

I can see a scenario where the Republicans lose the house and keep the Senate. If they Keep the House, it might be with a smaller majority.

Anyway, I think it would be wishfull thinking to expect the Rs to pick up seats.

I think the wild card is still going to be the memo - trumpeted or not, it will be a driving force for a lot of seat changes (I hope).

If its genuinely as bad as those who've seen it say it is? My guess is folks WILL be going to jail.

Judging by Pelosi's stuttering nonsense interview...I don't appear to be the only person seeing jail time in these folks' futures.

And that'll open up seats.

But we still need to have the right candidates to fill them.

And the correct presentation of facts from the memo, to the sheeple at large (who will, in the end, be the ones voting for said candidates).

It should be interesting, at least.
