I have been looking at a new 2007 STT (not a demo) and was wondering, in comparison, what a fair price would be?
I am aware of the differences and similarities of the 09 to current SS, and that is why I am asking.
If the prices are to close, than it will be an easy decision to consider the SS instead!
Thanks in advance!

Troy

I probably wouldn't expect it to be over $6000 for it. And even that would be a tough decision. New 09 SS's are going for $7000-$7500 and have the hugely redesigned motor internals.

The HD place in Columbia SC has an 07 STT (drool)in stock but want $7900 I believe. Would love to have it but think that is a little steep for an 07, plus the trade in on my Uly would not be so good.

Wow 7K-8K, I missed a 2009 SS for $5995 before tax and fees, I guess I should have bought it!
That makes no since with the 2008-2009 having all of the necessary improvements over the 2007's?

One dealer that's fished here for sales had an 09 SS for $5995. Their fees added $1200. Now they list it for $6499 so likely with fees would probably be $7700. Then you still have taxes/tags/title.

The above link has an 07 stt with cherry bomb plastic and set for passenger. Basically they turned it into an ss. Doesn't say how much though

Looks like Western Reserve has one and also lists an 09ss. Maybe that's who your talking to but if not it's another place to compare prices with.

Yes Western Reserve is where the STT is, I have not called for a price yet.
I was trying to get a comparison on what others have paid or received price quotes recently on a new 2007 STT, so I would have some idea before I called.

The problem with the 07s is that the Buell dealer incentives don't apply.

A dealer who may have $9,000 in dealer cost in that bike doesn't get the dealer incentives, and so will have to eat the cost below $9000.

At $7900, they are still potentially losing $1000+.

I paid $8500.00 out the door for my '07 STT. I did have to do tax and title as I bought it out of state. BUT I got mine IN
2007. You'd think they end up taking a hit to sell one now.

Yep, but don't expect there to be a "right" deal.

Your 12S cost that dealership at least $4000.

Eh. It's there own damn fault. Do you think, if they actually gave a hoot about selling that bike... I mean actually TRIED to sell it... that it would have sat in there show room since 04? Heck no. If they wanted to they could've sold it for near MSRP within the first year. If they wanted to

Uh. What were we talking about? Oh yeah, deals are out there.

Western Reserve would be a good place to do business.
They supported the Buell brand in the past and I'm sure they will in the future.

Considering that it was bought from a board sponsor, and they still have a new untitled X1, I would say yes they did.

So does this mean that the last Buells in the dealers left unsold will be 07's. This is why the factory probably needs to stay down for a year this invantory needs to be gone before the new bikes show up. Note I said show up in a positive way they will be back.
