I'm buying some pit-bull stands for my 12S and debating which rear stand to go with, the standard or the forward handle stands. Does anyone have any experience with the forward handle stands? Do they prevent slipping more? Is the standard stand a 2 person job, or is it easy for one guy to use? Which one should I go with?

i'm using an LP rear stand. it's very easy to use alone. i imagine that the forward handle stands would actually be more difficult. also, if you are doing maintenance or something, it seems like the forward handle stand would just be in the way... i guess i just don't see any real advantage to that configuration, especially with a Buell.

The forward handle stand is easier for one person to lift because you can stand beside the bike, instead of balancing it from the rear as you have to with the traditional rear stand. It also allows you to place the bike closer to a wall, and prevents you from tripping over the rear stand handle if you have a lapse of concentration when walking behind the bike.

It can get in the way somewhat as the handle does run along the side of the bike, but it has never bothered me. You will be happy with either- Pit Bull stands are worth every penny.

Go with the forward facing stand. You will be glad you did. It does everything the rear handled stand does and more. Easier to use when alone. Does not take up (precious) room behind the bike. Can be used facing the rear as well as the front. Stores easier when not in use.

I've only had experience with my PitBull forward handle rear, but I really like it and have seen no reason for anything different.
