It could be made by an African Swallow! Anyone ever take your muffler off and hear what your XB sounds like??? I have! I also took off the muffler from my X-1. When I did and rode around the block, I came back with a lowered Buell. The muffler bracket is an integral part of the rear suspension. |

"They develop and supply motors to Buell, Aprilia, Can-Am, ATK, BMW, Bimota and KTM."}. What KTM model use BRP for their motors? I know its not the dirtbikes (thats what I'm familiar with)? Just Wondering |

Why do people jump into a thread to complain about it's existence? I mean really, just don't click on the thread and viola your fine. It's like someone coming over to your house, inviting themselves in and then complaining about your paint scheme and what's in the fridge. |

I think we need to clarify that just because Harley owns and builds Buell doesn't mean that a Buell is a Harley. I can see this very clearly, and yet, I've never been a voluntary H.O.G. member (only the free year I got with my Sportster purchase), nor have I attended any H.O.G. event. Madness. |

"I think we need to clarify that just because Harley owns and builds Buell doesn't mean that a Buell is a Harley." I've been saying that for a week now, minus the "builds" part. |

In the mid-80's KTM's relied on Rotax motors. Ktm was originally supplied by Rotax for most of their motors, even the new (at the time) four strokes. These were the first 4-valve dirtbike motors. The 504cc was tokened as fire-breather and featured a timing belt similar to newer motors. After going bankrupt in 1991, KTM developed all their motors for all bikes and quads. But if you compare a DS450 (CAN-AM) and a 450SX, there are several similarities. These motors use a lot of the same parts and even have the same timing. It is just like looking at a Hyosung 650 and a Suzuki SV650. Same Engineering, Similar Design. Aprilia's 125 track bike damn near has the same motor as Ktm's 125R |
