I miss Rocket.
I didn't often agree with him but he had a colorful character. Always liked reading threads he was involved in. You knew it would be "lively" and interesting.
Time may have dimmed my memory a bit but I don't remember Rocket being as bad as some of the more recent guests to Blake's Place.
I don't remember him trying to camp every thread he could to ambush or spread his personal venom like a few here have been of late.
I've never noted any who have been banned for their message, but for how they said it and/or the grandstanding disruption they wanted to cause. A few here don't seem to be able to tell the difference.
I'm not wanting to pick on BuellTroll who has surprised me with how civil he has been sense he came back, kudos to him. But if he can be welcomed back after the way he acted the first time then anybody could.
The Badweb moderators seem pretty fair to me.

"Seems like about 50 regular posters here."

"Regular posters", hmmmm. That's a new statistic to consider. What is your definition of "regular"?

How many "regular" readers do you figure we have?

Warning to all BadWeB trolls and aspiring BadWeB trolls: You'll know that you've really jumped the shark as a BadWeB troll when Sparky calls you out.

Thank you Darryl. I didn't know you had it in you. : D

Blake,

If nothing else, this thread has caused me to almost hemorrhage from the extremely hard laughing I've done over the past 30 minutes reading through the posts. There is a segment of people in the world that can't accept being wrong. They never see any fault in their logic. In their minds they are right and totally justified in their logic. Safe to say that they will never allow themselves to step outside of themselves and take an introspective look at their misgivings.

Whether we label them trolls or idiots, it won't ever change the fact that think that they are right.

That's the beauty of BadWeb we accept all races, creeds, ethnic background or planet that they are from. Even if they are from StuporBikePlanet.

StuporBike Planet is the right name for sure. What a joke that site is. They talk about racing being ruined and tell all their followers not to go. Man the AMA Pro races are flat unbelievably good. Topeka was insane this weekend. As good racing as you could ever see.

What a tragedy that "journalists" like Henny Penny and Ding Dong Adams are causing people to miss some of the greatest racing on the planet. These guys are obviously not race fans at all. StuporBike Planet and Psycho News have become complete scandal rags. The motorcycling National Enquirers.

I've never looked at some of those other sites other than a passing glance . . . but I will say this for the AMA/DMG program.

I asked my wife when dinner was going to be last night and the response was "fix something yourself, Danny and Martin are mixing it up and I don't want to miss this".

HUH?

This is some seriously good racing. I wonder if there song would be different if Buell were not #1 in the points standing?

Sparky . . . . don't taze me bro!

They are IL4 from the Big Four fans. Anything NOT that is to be despised.

It's Adams... and the "Adams Family"

Too much intellectual inbreeding in that small community and you are reading the results.

Gawd... "race a machine with such an obvious advantage" ??

It's quite clear that Eslick is the determining factor here, not the bike. Why can't these butt-holes see the truth? Why, why, why, oh God why?!

I did enjoy that part in Saturday's race where . . . just as Scott Russell was lamenting that "the Buell pulls strong on the front straight but struggles in the corners" just as Danny passed two riders going through a series of turns.

We tend to believe our eyes when they conflict with our ears.

Amazing how many folks are clamoring to find one thing . . . just one thing . . . that's wrong or unfair about the Buell.

They should mind their racing. They're getting beat.

It wouldn't matter if Buell Unveiled street legal replica racers in sub 900cc and 1200cc, for DSB and SB respectively, SBP would still scream "Unfair!!!!" as long as they're winning and "pathetic" when they lost.

If Aprilia begins stringing along a significant amount of wins with the V4, they will become a target as well.

Their allegiance is to IL4 engine configurations NOT to racing. To them, it's IL4 from the Big Four and "everybody else".

Again, how much of a CC advantage would you give me to make it fair if I was racing a super single.

Would 600cc's be fair or would I need more?

1000cc's?
1200cc's?
1500cc's?
2000cc's?

What would be fair?

Scott Russell still thinks the 1125R is like the harley he used to ride (VR1000)

As for the 2010 Blast, are they done or can you still buy one?

I still want a XB9R with a Blast engine.....

The Blast simply just sent the wrong message, that a Buell is an entry level bike. I'm glad its gone. Erik never said it was a bad bike, Buell is just getting rid of its beginner bike.

With all the motors Rotax does make think of all the possibilities though for a smaller displacement based bike.

Oh! and the 1125R is the best motorcycle Buell has ever produced.

Am I the only one who actually WANTS a Blastcube? I could seriously use an end table in my man room. A blue one would be sweet, right next to my computer.

What you need to do is get about 5 gallons of that clear castable resin and pour a see-through table top. That would be waaaaay kewl!

Buell could start a new sales program like they did in 98' for the 99' model year except, this one would be in reverse. That way you could have the color you wanted in your own EB personalized B-cube!!

"Nope, when we dynoed and weighed them at Barber, the Buell had a vastly superior power to weight ratio to us (2.6xlbs/hp Buell), (2.8xlbs/hp Hacking), (3.02lbs/hp Davies). At that time, the Buell made 21 more hp than our Aprilia on the same dyno within 30 mins of each other. We made FOUR hp more than Hackings Kawasaki and weighed 20lbs more.

The Buell does not handle well in long corners and has serious brake fade issues and poor aerodynamics...the sucker accelerates like the Millenium Falcon. We turned a faster lap time than Danny and everyone else (cept Herrin) yesterday, until we dropped out with an ignition problem. There is real lap time parity here."

Seems Buells extra CC's are an advantage.

The 500 single (formerly known as Blast) IS a better entry-level motorcycle for the HD showroom than it was in the Buell showroom.

I would be very wary of a Buell competitor assessing the advantages/disadvantages of said Buell.

I think the only thing that I would give any credence to is the last sentence, which seems to be the key (and goal) of DSB.....

There is real lap time parity here.

"Buell made 21 more hp than our Aprilia on the same dyno within 30 mins of each other. "

Geez, that Aprilia, a former WSBK race winning platform, is pretty sucky compared to the Buell and the 600cc IL4. I feel for Chaz Davies. He deserves better.

Scott Russell still refers it to a Harley.

In fact in a couple of the first races, he was talking about how hard the Buell Twins are to handle in the corners. A hand ful I think he said. He probably has not even ridden one....Only comparing to the Harley race bike he rode?

I am not impressed with his calling of the race. They need to find someone else. i thinkREX
