OK so we have a poll of internet BBS posters. Wonder how WE compare with the bulk of the buying public?

I'd like to see a naked, but I'd also like to see something LIKE the Uly that would also work well as a strict sport-tourer.

I know it isn't a Buell, but I would love to se an XL1125RR Sportster parked in my garage. Retro done right.

#1 and then #3. But unfortunately, we may never see a #3 as long as the HD bean counters insist that Sport Touring bikes "don't sell".

I think it was Erik, and NOT the HD bean counters, that said "Sport Touring bikes don't sell."

Put the Rotax engine in a Sport Touring machine (from the rider down, not a compromise) and I'll be a buyer. I also have three buddies who agree. We are aging, much as I hate to admit it, but we want what we want. Is anyone listening? This is what I've been asking for since my first love affair with a Buell in about '98.

#3. And if Erik is by chance at the 1125 school in Pocono this Wednesday I'll be sure to have him autograph my S2 somewhere to show there really is love for sport-tourers, LOL.

Give me #1 and I will piece together the components of 2 & 3 as needed. But only after the cityX has 50-65K miles on her.

If Buell is as clever as we know they are, I suspect they will expand the platform in several directions.

I personally would like to see a cafe racer next.

No reason not to have a fully faired model for the go fast lads, which would integrate the air intakes a bit more gracefully.

As far as sport touring is concerned, sadly I have reached that state in life where long trips with the Buell finds it on my trailer.

You don't stop riding because you get old, you get old because you stop riding.

I STILL WANT A FREAKIN' SPORT-TOURER!!!

I do too, Sooo...I jumped ship to the Kawa C 14. Tired of waiting, even the wait for my MINI was only 6 weeks. A sport tourer sounds years away, frankly!

#3 with a movable or power windshield, quick-remove bags and trunk, S3T ergos for rider and passenger, long-distance seat for rider/passenger. Would be nice to switch it back easily to "R" footpegs and bars (adjustable for both?) for track days.

and can I get a bigger tank for over 200miles between fill-ups?
