Superbrace is offering us a Group Buy discount on their fork brace for the Buell Blast!

I was hoping to get a deal on a used one but have found that these rarely, if ever, come up used as anyone who has bought one won't part with it unless the bike itself is being parted out or being returned to stock etc. The Superbrace is that good...

The group buy discounting is tiered, so the more we buy, the better the price. Plus there is the potential to get FREE shipping in the US or an equivalent credit towards international shipping.

Ok, so here's the deal. 10% off for 3-6 pieces, 15% off for 7-19 and 20% off for 20 or more. I know we can get 3-6 people interested, I'd like to get at least 7 and it would be really great if we could get more than 20 people interested.

The free shipping deal works as follows: Tell a buddy about this group buy and Superbrace will refund your shipping. All you need to do is, post your order id (i.e. Order ID #1234) as a reply in this thread. Then the next member will post your order ID in the "additional information" line while checking out and Superbrace will refund your domestic shipping or the equivalent for international orders. The more members that post their order ID as a reply to this post, the more free shipping!

I want to get 7 or more people signed up before we begin ordering to at least guarantee us the 15% discount. I'll sort out with Superbrace how we can manage the additional 5% off if we hit 20. I'm not sure if they need to process payment at time of ordering or can wait until the go into production etc.

Regular prices are as follows:

Polished Superbrace $143.95
Hard Anodized Superbrace (black)$168.95
Fork protectors (recommended) $25.00 (either color)

10% off
Polished $129.56
Hard Anodized $152.06
Fork protectors $22.50

15% off
Polished $122.36
Hard Anodized $143.61
Fork protectors $21.25

20% off
Polished $115.16
Hard Anodized $135.16
Fork protectors $20.00

So, who's in? Add your name to the list (copy list into new post) and let's get at least 7 interested before we start ordering.

Two more added to list - only need 3 more to get to 7+ and 15% off

So, here's the deal.

We're setup for the 15% discount and the first 7 get free shipping. From #8 and higher, you'll need the order ID of the previous purchaser to get your free shipping.

Superbrace currently has a few polished silver braces in stock ready to ship! Huge bonus because if they didn't, we might have ended up having to wait for a production run to get scheduled. If you want a hard anodized black one, you may need to wait a week or so for them to get sent out for anodizing.

So, they're all set up to take our orders. Use coupon code 'blast15' and you'll get the 15% off. Include GROUP BUY FREE SHIPPING in the comments section of the order form and they'll make the adjustment before you get billed.

So, don't delay and start putting in your orders!

SuperBrace is currently in the process of billing and shipping the polished braces and the black ones will be billed/shipped next week (for orders that were purchased before Sept. 30 as they sold out of their current inventory) .

All orders placed between Oct 1st through Oct 31st will be billed Nov 1st and shipped shortly after the Group Buy closes (2-3 weeks later depending on your location and color choice).

...and you wont find a better brace out there! Fit and finish is excellent. Blast parts are not generally in high demand so it could be a long wait for another production run.

And there really isnt another choice for a brace as the Crossroads brace is unavailable (and isnt as rigid anyway).

It stiffens up the front forks so they twist and flex less. It makes it handle better. If you're not really an aggressive rider, it's really not needed and can actually make the bike feel more unstable as more 'road feel' will be transfered to the handlebars. Whether you'll notice any difference is debatable (but its there).
It also looks cool.

Anyone out there still interested in buying fork braces? I was having fun and designed my own. Just installed it today and the fit is perfect. I am not doing this as a business, just another engineer with too much time.

If I see some interest, I will have them machined and list them on eBay.

specs :
- 6061-T6 aluminum
- clear anodize
- One piece design

How much are you going to sell these for? What material are you using? Very interested.

If I'm not mistaken, it looks as if you have to take the forks apart to install them.
But yes, they look good.

Hi guys, I've made it of 6061-T6 aluminum with a clear anodize. I've used them for about 10 days now and I could tell the difference right from the start.

Yes these are one piece CNC and you have to remove the forks to slide it in. But a lot of us haven't changed the fork oil in ages so might as well do this at the same time ; )

Let me know if interested. Depending on how many we are, they could go for $120 and maybe less.
