Also, Is this the "quiet core" EZ mentioned or is that something different like the one for the jardine? If not I would like to know where to get one because I can't find anything else. Thanks

Thats the stuff. I dont know if you'll need more than one. When I did my White Brothers, one (of a different make-FMF) was more than enough to pack it tight. I'd get two (but thats me). Loosly packed will burn out quickly and either way you'll have to repack again eventually.

A "Quiet Core" is a Jardine item and refers to an insert they make for the Jardine only.

Just for reference, the nuts that hold the endcap on the V&H can(that usually strip quite easily) are 10/32 thread.

Well I can't get the V&H can off the header while the header is bolted to the bike. I have a new exhaust gasket and studs anyway so I decided to take off the whole system, The nuts and studs are really rusted I've been spraying them with PB blaster and one came off pretty easy although I think the stud unscrewed a bit. The other nut will not come off, I figure I'll just keep spraying it and it will eventually give. Any tips?

Well I let the PB soak in over night and I got the header off. Thing is the stud came out with the nut, no big deal though I have a new stud and I'll replace the nuts with stainless steel ones. Also, whoever installed this exhaust system didn't use a F'n gasket. I have a new one that I got from american sportbike though. To get the stud in I think I'll just double nut it and screw it in that way.
