That was a great weekend. I wish Danny could have finished the last race but that's just how it goes.
Danny and Geoff are great guys. Geoff was kind enough to spend over an hour and a half walking the track Saturday night with a handful of lucky fans. It was really cool to get pointers from him, Walt, and JD Beech. Now I'm just itching to go back for a track day.
Keep an eye on Geoff May, he mentioned a side business he's working on that is going to be awesome and could be really successful.

Geoff's final lap, front straight away stand up wheelie through the finish line was very, very cool.

Absolutely, Geoff looked great. Was a good showing despite Danny's mechanical. He kept his chin up, but no doubt a bit perplexed about his recent issues.

I was also on that trackwalk Notpurples2, we must have been there together. Was a great experience and hope to see you there for a trackday.

great performance EBR and company.
Geoff has been inredebly consistant.
reminds me of the way Jorge Lorenzo aproaches a track.
keep it up guys.

Josh Hayes looks unstoppable.
the way he rides that yamaha makes me think
he is going to take the title again.
I would to see him get a GP ride. I am sure he would do better then the a lot of the riders in the GP group

Highly unlikely. One hes not young... 38 to be honest. Two.... comparing the two bikes is apples to oranges. 3 he knows nothing about the tracks...where Ben Spies went in with some knowledge. Hayes would hit a learning curve in his career at his age that he doesn't have time to learn it. BY the time he would be a possible force he'd be 0ver 40. I think with the riders that are up in coming in the AMA Superbike class will at some point clean his clock. Herrin,Eslick and Young have plenty in the gas tank.

[edited]".....I would to see him [Josh Hayes] get a GP ride. I am sure he would do better then the a lot of the riders in the GP group....."

testify!!

go back & look at reviews of Josh's recent Valencia MotoGP wild card ride - never before on the bike/tires/circuit, he was fastest in race morning's wet warmup & placed very well in the race

such a sparkling performance simply had to be the best possible first impression Hayes could've made on the MotoGP paddock......

Firstbuell,

Your correct he also did that when a large majority did not go out in the rain that day and waited for day 2. Hayes needed the time regardless because of never being on the bike. Hes a great rider and one of my favorites but he is what he is. His age is going to show next season. As his teamate is closing in. As Eslick get a hold of things more and more every week. Other riders are getting better also but funding seems to slow some down.

Great Article with Geoff. Seems like the EBR bikes actually handle better than the rest and could easily dominate if they had more power and the electronics playing field was level.

PS did anyone else notice how intense Geoff was in his pre race interview? That was awesome!

the fact he is 38 should not be an issue.
why is age an issue. if you are good you are good . period.
besides he seesm to be a nice guy. always well mannered and down to earth.
always thanks his sponsors.
i hope he gets a ride. in GP.
look at Biaggi showing the kids how is done.

Crmike: I agree whole heartedly and will add; while watching the second race from Barber Monday morning here, I was catching the lap times all race and with four to go until the checkered flag Geoff in 4th was actually lapping .2 faster then the second and third place riders, Blake Young and Josh Herrin. I think we could use some more H.P. but not as much as I first thought. Its Geoff and Dannys qualifying that they have to play catch up all race. If they could qualify in the top three I believe they could also podium. And I do not think anybody is going to beat Josh Hayes this year, only himself. He's that good right now. What a year of great racing in AMA!

It sure is a great year of racing. I am very proud to be a part of the Buell/EBR group, albeit a small part of it. I am sure that as the guys get the bikes more dialed in, the podiums will come.

And Hayes is on a completely different level this year. Last year it was competitive between him and Blake Young, but this year it is no contest. Hayes is battering the field with demoralizing victory after demoralizing victory. At this point he is just having fun and seeing how fast and perfect he can ride. I don't see anyone touching him at all.
