Currently on speed-chill in my freezer is a bottle of Fat Tire, bought at the local grocery just an hour ago. The first time New Belgium Brewing Co. has shipped to Georgia. All I can say is it's about time! If you haven't tried it...do. Try the 1554 Belgian Black Ale. MMMMMM!!! |

FINALLY! Someone that knows about 1554! Woo hoo! I'm enjoying one right now and have plenty of backup. |

1554 could possibly be my favorite beer. Picking a favorite beer, however, is like picking your favorite Victoria's Secret girl...how are you supposed to choose? |

Yeah ok, I know I know. The ta-tas. But it's still hard to choose. |

I like 1554 as a bottled ale. It may be my favorite bottled ale but as for draft ale, well I've never tried the 1554 on draft. Luckily, the Pike Brewing Co in Seattle makes a fine scottish style called "Kilt Lifter" that is available locally. It takes the second pint before it tastes really good but watch out for the third one. It runs around 11% typically and will woop yer ass! |

Nice lineup, Hugh. That Young's Double Chocolate is a mouthful. Delicious. Cheers to dark beers! Never had the Black Toad or the Pipeline. I'll have to look for them at the local shop. |

Thanks Adam. The Pipeline is very good, but I kind of "OD'ed" on it around Christmas (not drinking to excess; just drinking it too often). Been saving a couple until I get the taste for it again. You've got me interested now; I need to see if I can find Fat Tire and 1554 Belgian Black Ale. |

You guys have Beverages and More out where you are? a/k/a "BevMo" I haven't found ANY alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage that they couldn't order (they're my source of Rat Bastard root beer too!) It appears that they're a Western US operation (CA and AZ) |

Yeah, never heard of BevMo. Don't think they operate here in GA or in TN where I grew up. The local liquor stores have good stock usually. I'm a big hops fan. Stone Ruination was one I had on draft recently. It's almost like drinking flower juice it's so hoppy. But very good. |

I went to college in Ft Collins where that is brewed, if you want to try a great brew, O'Dells Brewery, 90 Schilling, excellent beer, and for the New Belgium, Sunshine Wheat is great in Summer, O'Dells has EZ Street Wheat, in the winter O'Dells makes Isolation Ale Porter, it is excellent as well. |

liquorwhere- My big sis lived in the Denver area for a few years (littleton, golden, conifer) so I have had those that you mention. I'm a big fan of the Sunshine Wheat, but it seems that NBB is only bringing their other wheat beer here to the east. Whit or something like that? I'll have to try one, wheat beers aren't my fave but Sunshine is good. |

Lots of good beer in Colorado, also Seattle has some great microbrews, some of the others in the area that are really good, are Flying Dog and Blue Moon, both really good, when I went to college there at Colorado State, we would go to O'Dells and buy $7 "growlers" of beer for the evening, it was soooooooo good, lately though, while I am from Colorado I grew up in Texas and Corona was our beer of choice, when Budweiser bought out Corona they changed the recipe, so the old recipe was modified a bit and used to create Pacifico, and that is what is in my hand at this moment, beer is just such a good thing in life, while in the army I went to Belgium and visited a monastery that had a latin plaque on the entrance done in Gold that read "there is no beer in heaven so we must drink it all on Earth" I like that idea a lot!! Love beer and it will love you back!! |

Talked me into it. Enjoying some 1554 right now, very good. Just a little sweet for a dark beer but my taste is off, been drinking cr@ppy cheap beer this week. The Youngs double chocolate is good to. A local GA brewery Sweetwater has a limited release each year called "happy ending" that's very good. My favourite beer is Old Rasputin a very stout err stout. Great flavor |

What I love about being stationed in CO. All the microbrews. Going to do a microbrew trip sometime this summer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsI4327l87w |

I stopped waiting on brews to come to Georgia a while back, now I just brew up a style and keep it on the shelf. This is around 45 gallons of beer in 14 different styles. More ribbons to come!

I have a couple of Fat Tire bombers in my frig right now. A buddy brought them up for me from IL. It's sharing time with some Guiness, Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, Sierra Nevada Torpedo and Bell's Pale Ale. I need to get my brewing stuff out again. It's been about a year since I made my last batch. |

You guys are doing my heart good... thanks for restoring my faith in my fellow man (and woman to be PC) I thought everybody had gone to only drinking LITE beers. I feel better already just KNOWING there are others out there. |
