Sfinton, my header was banged up too, part of the reason I switched to the micron.

Oh yea, here is my before and after dyno runs:

So has anyone used the insulation material that comes with the Micron kit? I've got a bit of it and I'm thinking about putting inside the chin spoiler to keep it from melting. Reflective side faces the headers, correct?

According to Thermo-Tec, manufacturer of automotive thermal insulation (http://www.thermotec.com/product-instructions.html), "Trim the flexible blanket material to fit the area you wish to protect. The barrier is placed so that the bright metallic surface faces the heat source, reflecting the heat away from the area to be protected."

Mine looks like this:

I used mine on top of the muffler and directly underneath the bottom of the engine, reflective side resting on the muffler. I didn't see anything pertaining to it's use, so I was just guessing. It was sized right for that use.

I think i will try that for the replacement spoiler. Only reason my old one melted was because the bolts on the left side came out causing the plastic to sit against the pipe.

When I got my Micron I never had any heat barrier. I moved my chin all the way forward and haven't an issue with tire rub.
