Anybody know if this bike will be on the demo tours come spring? I'd really like to do a demo with the girlyfriend on the back. The Uly's too tall for me to feel comfortable with her on the back. |

Mikef5000, Too tall for me to feel comfortable with her on her back. Yep, that'd be pretty precarious. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on January 31, 2008) |

1. dependent on circumstances beyond one's control; uncertain; unstable; insecure: a precarious livelihood. 2. dependent on the will or pleasure of another; liable to be withdrawn or lost at the will of another: He held a precarious tenure under an arbitrary administration. 3. exposed to or involving danger; dangerous; perilous; risky: the precarious life of an underseas diver. You are correct times 3. |

No . . no . . "precarious" is the condition one experiences just moments before becoming carious. You know . . . right before . . "we're pooped and can't walk another step . . . can that horse carious?" |

Just attended the Mpls IMS and Buell had the XT there. My guess is it will be at the demo's. |

...alright, so I've already spent the $$$$ to turn my XB12X into a 12XT with one exception: shortening the suspension to help ride height. There were some options floated here before, but is the XB12XT suspension = to the Uly? Or is it shorter? If shorter, is this a cheap way to lower the Uly another inch or inch and a half? |

the Chicago IMS had a Buell XB12XT on display this past week-end and it was nice! I sat on it and could touch flat foot on the ground with my knees bent slightly. I can't do that on my 2006 Uly. I was telling someone at the show that it came out two years to late since I already own a Uly. |

I own a 2006 Uly, and I like it a lot, but the XT has me really thinking. I have to sit on one first, though. plus, I really like red... |

The XT's suspension travel is shortened front/rear compared to the X. The XT also uses triple rate springs in the front shocks (compared to the X's double rate). Keep in mind though that the X has 47mm forks as opposed to the XT's 43mm. I'm not thinking that just swapping the suspension between the two would be quick and easy. |

Only the 2008 X has the 47mm forks though, so all other year X's forks would swap just fine, correct? |
