Wolf the email I got said they are open 11-3 sunday thru xmas. Oh it is great fun speculating. I wonder what we will think looking back at this thread three years from now. It is understandable to be excited about a new model and motor. I am not brand blind that is why I ask the question. (Message edited by Lost_in_Ohio on December 09, 2007) |

wolfy-I don't think AD gave a rat's --- about buells, and while I've never been to Hale's they showed up at the inside pass, went out of thier way to answer q's and have sent me a couple of buell related mailings. AD can't even give me a full refund when I return the parts that they got wrong-something about paying 10% for someone to stick a part back in the box that says return to factory... I'd stand to reason that's why one place can get three and another get none if its true... |

when i was up in columbus for thanksgiving i went down to the harley dealer that supposedly sells buells and they had one shirt on the clarence rack there and had 4 buells to sale. one was a blast and the other 3 were cherry bomb lightings. not much of a choice there. i was impressed that they had a red 83FXRT(check profile) for sale there along with an 82fxr. not to many dealers would even consider selling an old shovelhead in their shop. if i had the extra money, that woulda come home with me. |

AD's is a pretty unfriendly dealer for Buells. I stop by their shop when Buell has the free-bees and they never know what I'm talking about. One of the ladies working the counter let me know that they don't sell many Buells and they don't stock many items. When I took my XB12 in for warranty work about 3 years ago, the service guy made sure to me inform me that he never liked Buell motorcycles. I was a little shocked to say the least. Why would a service guy say this to a customer? Needless to say, I now take all of my business to F&S Buell in Dayton, Ohio. They about an hour away, but well worth the inconvenience. They treat me like a customer and they have a small, but nice selection of Buell accessories and gear. |

Lady behind the counter was probably the same one that made my kids cry. Wife took them to get daddy a buell shirt for fathers day. She was rude to a 6 and 4 year old unbelievable. The wife called her a few names that, well I shouldn't put here. I still can't believe she has a job. Yes, I called and complained. Again and Again. Who cares? Not AD Farrow that is for sure. Did I mention they sent me a letter just before I received a survey in the mail asking for high marks. Ya right. |

The free beanie last winter was a hoot. You would have thought I stuck a gun in her face and asked her to empty the till. Did I mention it took her 30 minutes to find it. Your right, Your right there is no free. |

Blake sez: ...when they can have the absolute best in the business handle that for them? It sounds like "the best in the business" (whoever that is...are you talking about HD or FedEX?) has a few warts on its face over the 1125R. Maybe Buell should hire FedEX or Brown to distribute these bikes...they could do much better. |

That's too bad. They should have sent one to my Dealer. Or anyone that still waiting that has money on the table... How is BMC going to know which dealer has money on the table? I'm sure all they have is a list of dealers that have ordered the 1125R, and maybe the dealers that have supported Buell more in the past are being rewarded with the first shipments..... maybe. |

What's the point of a cash deposit if BMC doesn't know? Why say money talks and BS walks if BMC doesn't know? Of course they know. It's their money, they better. I have accepted that my 1125R sat/is sitting in a truck, waiting to fill up, while I could have enjoyed the last nice days of the season riding. Now it's gonna be questionable to mediocre days on an exceptional bike till exceptional weather comes back. Thanks Harley-Davidson. For the 250 bucks shipping, I'd have rented a U-Haul and picked it up myself if I knew how then. Z |

Of course they know. It's their money, they better How would the know? How many people have put a cash deposit down and then backed out of the deal? I bet that happens all the time. All they know is Joe Blow HD & Buell has ordered X amount of 1125R's. Its up to the dealer to sale them. |

What's the point of a cash deposit if BMC doesn't know? Why say money talks and BS walks if BMC doesn't know? So that WHEN the bike gets to the dealership, it's held for that customer. The dealerships placed there (first) orders at the dealer show, before anybody could put a deposit down. They didn't later call Buell and say "Hey, I've got an order in there for 4 1125r's, well, I've got money down on 2 of them, so can you speed those up please?" |

Time for Blake to eat crow and admit to and apologize for passing on inaccurate/contradictory information, albeit information straight from the mouth of a Hale's salesman no less. Jeff, Hale's Sales Manager, just sent me the following photos of his/Hale's three 1125R's:
Kinda tough to argue with that! So to Jeff and Charlie especially, my sincere apologies. I'm sorry for doubting the veracity of your statements. I hope that whoever it was at Hale's that fed me the contradictory/inaccurate information will get with the program. Note how in the first photo above Jeff is graciously displaying the hand sign for "3" versus the backwards middle "1". Thanks for that Jeff. (Message edited by Blake on December 10, 2007) |

Looks to me like everyone that wanted a Right Side Air Scoop from the factory can hove not one, but two with the 1125r. One for the radiator, one for the upper exhaust manifold to divert hot air off the pipe and route it under neath the rider. |

I bought my Uly from Hales. They do cut a nice deal on bikes. Matter -o- fact they cut a sweet deal on my Uly. In the late spring of 06 when most dealers were not budging one bit on Uly prices. So is doesn't surprise me to see the 1125 deal from them. Don't expect a t-shirt or hat. The set-up on my Uly had a few minor issues. It was admitted to me "kid in the warehouse" sets up the bikes. For anybody that hasn't been there the actual shop is tiny in comparison to the average Taj Ma Harley store. Would I buy a bike from them again? Yes. |

That's a beautiful site . . . those 3 1125r' side by side . . . I'd bet they are sold already. Buell has a home run on their hands. If Hales sells you a bike and won't give you a shirt . . . drop me a note . . . I'll bet I can fix you up. Have fun . . . it's an excellent motorcycle. |

Badweb sponsorship issues aside, they were great hosts at the Mid Ohio track day, and between then and now sent me a nice padded mailer with glossy 1125r books. Something neither of my three more local dealers has done. My nomadic salesman* at F&S sent me a 20% off Christmas coupon though, so they get points *(His name is Bill, great guy, who bounces between school, working the sales floor, and other pursuits... so when I go in there and ask "is Bill working this week" the response is generally either "yes" or "he quit again, but come back next week, he will probably be back".) |

>>>They say they have three for sale, you say they are sold. "Sold" is better when you are designing, manufacturing and selling motorcycles to put your kids through school. Are they any UNSOLD 1125's? I love it. No one is denying anybody anything . . . goodness sakes. |

I too bought my Uly from Hales when other dealers said no '07s were left, they found 3 black ones for me. They did a great job on setup and treated me right on price. Reep: I saw Bill about 6 weeks ago and he said he had quit again. 2 weeks ago, he was at F&S in the uniform, back to work! Mark |

Finally got to see the bike in person today still want one so hoping that other guy on list backs out On another note I noticed that the exhaust was blowing straight onto the back brake line which had a loop in it after a quick tug this loop came out and the exhaust now misses the brake line this is worthwhile checking if you have just had a new bike delivered as I am sure hot gas and brake fluid are not a good mixture |
