I stopped in at Hale's tonight to pick up my Adventure jacket and I saw 3 1125's. If I hadn't just gotten the '08 Uly I would have jumped on one of those beauties! They'll be going for less than M.S.R.P. See Jeff or Jeff.

"I saw 3 1125's ... They'll be going for less than M.S.R.P."

That is inaccurate information. Hale's has one 1125R, as of this morning not yet prepped for delivery and not on the showroom floor. Their out the door price is MSRP + tax, title, license as applicable. They are expecting two more 1125R deliveries some time down the road.

That's too bad. They should have sent one to my Dealer. Or anyone that still waiting that has money on the table. Wish I lived closer to Mansfield.

Hmmm...three in stock, and discounted no less... Goes against everything that the Anony's have posted about initial distribution of these bikes. Can anybody confirm? Right now it just don't pass the smell test...

Their website confirms the presence of the 1125's, but froze Internet Explorer on my PC. Their phone number off the site seems legit, but recording says they don't open until 10AM. Apologies in advance to Charlie if this proves true...

would definitely suck if they have 3, unsold, and I'm sitting here holding 12 large and waiting.

Somebody used up their kneepads.

Zac,

You deleted your question? It looks like I am talking/arguing with myself.

If it's an argument, I sure hope I win.

The internet.

Buell Motorcycle Company has NOTHING, NADA, ZIP to do with distribution of the 1125r.

Thanks Court I didn't know that.

To whom ever IS making the decisions:
Don't let that freak snow in N. Virginia make you think that I don't need one. All this will be gone today and it will be near 70 mid week. So don't worry, I'll be able to ride a 1125R if you'll just drop it by Grove's Harley.
Thank you for your support.

that should do it.

Fun to start seeing 1125s on the street . . . I've never seen Buells leave the dealership so quickly.

Buell has a HUGE home run on their hands.

Buell Motorcycle Company has NOTHING, NADA, ZIP to do with distribution of the 1125r.

That sounds like a really screwy way to run a business. They design, develop, test, and produce the 1125R, and then turn it over to someone else to distribute, with no regard for those dealerships that already have orders pending, and send 3 to a dealership that has none? That is crazy!

Who does have something to do with distribution...Santa Claus? Are they going to distribute them on a sled pulled by reindeer and drop them down the chimneys (or plumbing vent stacks) of HD/Buell dealerships that have been nice, and skip over those that have been naughty?

J -
Blake sussed it out and got that Hale's have one, with "several" on the way.

All of us have one "on the way"

As soon as the truck(HD and Buell) headed for your area is FULL, it will start rolling. not before. Sux, mine has been ready for a week. Still not shipped.

I don't see how Hale's has some and Farrow's doesn't. Columbus is less than 45 min south..... I guess I will keep stopping by to see if they ever show up...

I really wish I had the $$$ to buy all 3 from Hale's and start my own racing team... THE LOTTO!!! YEAH!! THATS THE TICKET!!

Jimi,

Why would the small crew of engineers who are absorbed with engineering new motorcycles want to get involved in product shipping and distribution when they can have the absolute best in the business handle that for them?

Do you imagine that Amazon.com should handle all their distribution on their own too? FedEx does it for them, and they do it better and cheaper.

As much as it is frustrating, I do understand the economics of waiting until the truck is full before shipping anything. You guys who have this bike already are some lucky dudes.

The email I received said they have three IN STOCK.

Court, isn't it a tad early to call it a home run. I am not meaning to urinate in the Buell aid but there are less that 20 in the hands of civilians. We have yet to see how they hold up in the real world and how support from the dealer goes. Give it a year or two and then call it a home run if justified.

No, it is not.

Never has an American Made Motorcycle been received with such enthusiasm among seasoned racers, current owners and media.

It's an excellent motorcycle.

Keep tuned it, follow me and I'm betting you'll agree.

Mansfield, by the way, has en enthusiastic Buell contingent. I was there a while back and impressed.

Since 99' Hale's has been strong on Buells. This was shot at Hale's during a BRAG event, this was the 2nd time I met Erik:

EB-NS-Hales99

We had been comparing M2's and S3's when this was shot.

Dang, John, let's quible about semantics. I am betting a whole bunch of Harley D's parts are not made in America also. Want to call them "assembled" in America,(Brembo brakes,Showa suspension, the list goes on--) how about Chryslers? Sure are alot of metric parts on my Ford F-250,also.
As long as they are coming out of the factory in East Troy I will be calling them "made in America"!!
Your XB is kinda suspect in my view.I'm thinking it has way too many foriegn parts to qualify as American made. Now the S-2 had PM wheels and Brakes, Supertrapp made exhaust, fiberglass was done in house, frame made in USA.
The rest of you guys riding those "new" bikes, you're out!!

You are correct. . . we intentionally left it different to allow folks who'd prefer to rain on parades, bitch, moan and gripe to split hairs while folks are out enjoying their AMERICAN motorcycles.

Buell is BUILDING motorcycles and making a profit while other motorcycle companies are laying folks off, wading through bankruptcies, and using plant shut-downs to balance supply and demand.

If it's THIS good a motorcycle I could give a flying rat's patoot about where the individual parts came from.

Although . . . I **DID** yesterday pass on buying a guitar (Guild 12 String) marked "Proudly Made in China" in favor of one marked "Made In El Cajon, CA".

If "raining on a parade" is teling it like it actually is instead of watering it down with the American flag....let it pour.

Why did they take American Motorcycles off the Gas tank?
