In looking at the Beyond the Law stuff, I was thinking about a book I read called Under and Alone. about a guy infiltrating the mongols. Was a pretty decent book. Looks like they are making it into a movie.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383026/ |

Don't forget "What's Up, Tiger Lily." Back when Woody Allen was still funny... |

+1 for Tiger Lily. Kung Pow (also funny) was basically a rip of of it. |

I could see Gibson playing Steve McQueen... I saw a book at Barnes & Noble about McQueen and his cars. I have Bullit on DVD and the only part I have watched is the chase scene, though I've heard it was the most accurate as far as medical/police procedural of it's time. |

The 'Lovin' Spoonful' have a cameo in 'What's Up, Tiger Lily?'. I think that was the only footage actually shot for the movie. That's pretty obscure. |

Kellys heroes The great train robbery Excalibur I dont think any of them were really "obscure", but they are a few years old, and not necessarily common conversation. |

Heavy Metal!!! The soundtrack is killer, with some fine Steely Dan to boot. +1 tiger lily Infra-Man Folks- I watched the Cane Toads film the other night. Just as wacky as I remembered, but I could've sworn it was a government documentary. Still worth seeing. If you can find it- the "$h!t" video. Early skateboard/mayhem/wackiness. With plenty of objectionable material- NOT FOR THE EASILY OFFENDED. (The guys who did it- Big Brother Magazine- had a lot to do later with the Jackass series. This video tops anything the Jackass series ever did.) Great footage of absolutely incredible skating with a fantastic soundtrack. Quite inspiring. |

Would Boondock Saints really be considered obscure? What about obscure tv series? Anyone watch "Werewolf"? |
