I haven't been on since T.O.G. and thought she might be ready by the time I got comfortable in the saddle again. Course I doubt I will be any faster nest season so guess she and I will still be on the same level. I decided to stay around the house. I work on the bike, watched some races. Went up again to see Jack and Sam. Jack took another walk late yesterday afternoon. Vicki called late last night said his temp. had jumped up, so she stayed there. I went over to play with Murphy, that dogs a trip. Waited around, had a snack and went back the other way. I had to head into Atlanta earlish so I just split. Found a way to avoid all the construction on 400 as well (and no its not doing wheelies on the shoulder). She's home now. Just got out today. I heard that Shred was over there making everything handicap accessable. Thanks Shred. If anyone knows her personally, go give her a hand and bug the crap outta her. she'll be bored and i'm sure will eat up the attention. Jack took another walk today. He should go home tomorrow if all goes well. Keep him in your prayers. They're keeping him pretty drugged up, so i hope he isn't in too much pain when he does get to go home. His shoulder and arm are feeling better after surgery. One of the bone chips they removed was sitting on a nerve, so he's feeling better now that it has been removed. It was a tough call but there are many more games and only 1 race. Seeing how it is Boise State and not an SEC conference game then my decision was clear. The game is not until 5:00 so I might get to see the second half if I'm lucky. Boise State is not to be taking lightly. They lost some key receivers but still have their Senior QB. I expect to see them throw alot which will but some pressure on the DAWGS young secondary. I suspect that the DAWGS will run alot against Boise State's weak Defensive line and rack up some ground yards. Either way it should be a close game so say the least. So today I got a nice one 88mph in a 65 zone on 75 south at the Marietta loop area. The bad thing is I just had got passed by a 300M, then he got in front of me. I asked the officer about the 300M and he said what 300M. My speedo was reading between 75 and 80 mph. I have over sized tires and next week I'm going back to stock. Hoping to improve my gas mileage. I'm going to show up at court with the invoice from new tires and a statement from the shop saying that the oversize tires messed up the speedo and was off. I'm hoping the judge will see my good driving record and I will ask him to lower the ticket to 75. This Marietta cop wouldn't even lower it a bit. He just smiled, I would say even smurking like he just got off. I just smiled back, I think it surprised him. From the look on his face, like he wanted me to be upset. I would say from his looks he was in his early 20's and full of his own super ego and just got some justice for all the bad things that had happened to him as a child. Something tells me he wouldn't walk to far without his sidearm. If I ever get pulled over I always hope to get a police officer thats older, they don't have the super ego trip going on. I'll post about what happens down the rode. By the way, I will say their are many good cops out their that do like their jobs and serve and protect. Bummer, maybe they will let you off with a warning. That would be cool. Maybe, the officer won't show up, and in that case your off scott free. We can dream can't we.... The last time I got pulled over was a few years back and the dude just wanted to look at my bike. Ha! scared the crap out of me though. Not near as loud as the Odie pipe. Which is why I traded. Shred, that sucks. If you take your truck to Harris and have him re-calibrate your speedo, they'll usually let you off. They had backed their cars up a dirt road on the side of a hill so you couldn't see them. Apparently State troopers are exempt from the GA law that says cops have to be visible to ticket you. They are safety enforcement not revenue generating so they fall under different guidelines. The cop said they have had too many fatalities in the N GA mtns and they are cracking and to expect them to be out in force. I just removed the hugger and made it smaller. All's well with that killer paint job. Oh...by the way.....when you use a word like did not or will not or something of the likes the apostrophe goes after the N.....as in didn'T or won't.
