01 shock, lockhart oil cooler & thermostat, mobil 1, longer fxr oil filter, Accel wires, Yost power tube, Daytona Boss muffler, K&N air filter, air box mod, safetied all hardware, EBC green pads front & rear brakes, Dunlap 220's, header wrap

Problems/Miles (Please be specific): |
sheared off shift peg in turn 750miles, clogged petcock on main fuel setting 950 miles, speed sensor shot 5000, stock muffler cracked at collector & foward mount bushing and mount worn out 5200, oil line sheared 5500 at 85mph dumping oil on rear tire and rear brake pads (no crash though), Speed sensor died again @ 5800 miles, switched to 02 spec model (still going at 16000), sheared front Boss muffler clamp 2X and rear 3X 11k on bike and bugs finally worked out after making a modified rear muffler mount and hand made front and rear straps. cracked oil tank at oil line fitting mounts 15000 (fast welded), water in tranny oil after riding in rainstorm (made oil breather hose deflector out of sheet metal to block gapping hose opening under rear fender),Rocker box leaks 7200 & 15000 miles, Yet another oil leak, this time at the case seal 16.5k miles. Speed sensor crapped the bed again 17200, gonna try the latest greatest moded one. 18900 miles stator connector corroded preventing charging of battery, left my on the side of the road (cleaned connector & bump started bike and ran it till it recharged the battery), Rear shock now leaking oil and rides like a pogo stick 20K+ (who knows mileage with Buell speed sensors...), stator wires worn thru (bike w/n charge)

sporty pegs, chopped tail, touring bars, bar end mirrors, Tranny oil tube breather shield (keeps out water), Banke oil tank filler cap to keep out grit (should have come from factory with it), cut down and beveled shifter and brake levers to prevent road contact

like the handling/brakes/power compaired to my 1200 sportster, it's the only American sport bike unfortunately it's reliability is worse than a Ural...

How can Buell improve their motorcycles?: |
better dealership customer service... Bring back modified tube frames and the S3T touring model
