Wow, that's pretty sad right there. The health care plan has gotten such bad press, liberal organizations are offering to PAY people to publicly support it so the media will have something to work with!

This is why Democrats believe that the outrage at the town meetings is a result of "astro turfing". They HAVE to pay supporters to show up so any opposition MUST be a result of shills showing up on behalf of their corporate handlers.

They do not understand legitimate outrage.

so the same people the jump up and down about big oil having the repubs paid off are willing to be paid off by the dems for something they know nothing about.

if anyone goes to a town hall meeting, go prepared with not only facts, but proof directly from the bill that they are "supporting" so much, and prove to them that they simply haven't got a clue.

Hiring/paying demonstrators/protesters and the like should be illegal.

Do so is no different that lying to the public at large in order to con them into some @#$%ed up socialist left wing scheme.

If you want a lesson on how to decimate a nation, just follow the playbook of the far left.

Idiots!

The company I work for is unionized. I just heard today that they are sending cars full of people to Grand Junction, Co. for the anointed one's townhall meeting this coming Saturday to show their favor in this so called health care/insurance plan.

ACORN was out en'masse busing their faithful from Pittsburgh to central PA to over-run a local town-hall meeting.

It's not illegal, but it sure is slimy and smacks of fascism. Lots of genuine local folks who wanted to speak their mind to Senator Arlen Specter were unable to even gain access).

Has anyone else received an email from your "Friend" Davis Axelrod at the white house?
In this email, he dispels the "myth" that "we can't afford reform" with this statement:

2. We can’t afford reform: It's the status quo we can't afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs

Here's my question. If the President has identified all of these wrong doing's within EXISTING GOVERNMENT programs shouldn't he start by correcting these whether it be related to a broader "reform" program or not? "Yes, we'll take care of government corruption, but only if you agree to support this package"... WTF?

Well at least they are trying to create jobs! Like the black guy who got ruffed up handing out "dont tread on me" flags at town hall meeting or the guy who had a disabled son getting threats at his home in the middle of the night.

They are going to incite something to someone who doesnt have much to lose. Then its guilt by association like it pretty much already is.

Its vital everyone keeps a level head if you are against this healthcare bill. You're already the bottom of the bucket to these guys.

I got a little note from my new best friend Davy Axlerod.

I was a bit surprised, as I do not believe we have met.

Anyway, it's always nice to hear from the White House, so I shared with him.

Went like this:

Dave,

This is just horsesh*t, pure and simple.

You screwed the pooch on this one, and no one is buying it, except maybe Soros, or whoever owns you.

Watch Fox, read Rassmussen, and get your act together. You have totally lost the country on this one.

Hope that helps.

All the best
Jonathan

PS: Don't send me any more of this crap, OK?
Makes me sick, and scares the daylights out of me.

PPS: Good time to get your resumŽ out there, know what I'm sayin'?

I guess ol' Davy boy read it, because I haven't heard from him since.

PS: Just watching Our President on the Television.

This guy is just on one continual Presidential Champaign.

I guess no one has the guts to tell him that he won, and now he has to be President.

Anyway, I see that now he doesn't want Health Care Reform, at all.

He wants Health Care Insurance reform.

Like here is a good idea, get rid of your insurance company, but instead of getting a different one, you let the Gov't take care of you.

That idea wasn't too popular down at the Sag Harbor Post Office this morning as a small group gathered and waited for it to open.

I saw the President speak this afternoon as well. Watched it on Fox News who covered it uninterrupted.

I actually thought that he hit a homerun with the first leg of his speech, the one where he railed against the ability of insurance companies to drop you or raise your rates once you actually use your medical coverage, the one year contract issue. I FULLY support limits on policy rate increases. I'd like to be able to purchase a 10 or 20 year term health insurance policy just like I can do with my life insurance policy, the rate is fixed for the whole term and it is more than one year.

The rest was crap. One questioner asked about the law that prevents employees of small businesses with less than 20 employees from being eligible for COBRA. The President totally dodged the question, started talking about more affordable insurance for workers. The question was specific enough, the lady who owned a lumberyard had to lay off some of her employees and she was bothered that they were unable to take advantage of COBRA until they could find another job.

Fix the insurance and put the power to negotiate prices in the hands of the customer.

The President also flubbed on the question of how for profit insurance companies could expect to compete against a government plan. His answer was that the government plan would not be subsidized by taxes, that it would have to stand on its own. Well firstly that doesn't help much; if they were mandated to earn a 20% margin over cost that might be fair, but being able to operate at zero profit margin remains a HUGE competitive advantage over private ventures.

But secondly, it is simply a lie that the government plan won't be subsidized by taxes. How the @#$^ does the President imagine that all the currently uninsured are going to be paid for. He even admitted as much. He'll need to raise taxes on the folks making more than $250K/yr. Well, then how is your government program not supported by taxes?

#@$!ing LIAR!

Another funny thing about his town meeting today: When the President opened the floor to questions, he made a point of stating that no one was pre-selected or screened. Well, that sounds nice, but I think three of the ten or so folks who were able to ask questions were unemployed and at least two had young children with serious medical issues.

Then towards the end he specifically asked for a question from a critic of his health insurance reform plan. The guy was an insurance salesman.

I've always been a skeptic, but Obama has lied too many times for me to ever trust anything he says. He is slick though, and like I said, he hit a home-run with his first one third of his reform plan, the part where insurance companies would be prevented from dropping customers or onerously raising rates.

"No honey, that dress DOESN'T make you look fat."

For people claiming that REAL town hall meeting outrage is staged, it was hilarious to see such a staged event as today claimed to be unstaged.

You won't see a single instance from the night of the election win going forward where the President isn't presented in the best light with prescripted questions and perfect lighting.

Hell, the first few press conferences were staged and this was the media. You think he can't stage a few lemmings?

I can guarantee you that not one single person asking questions has bothered to actually research and read a single page of the bill.

Dopes.
