Do you?

Yep, I live in upstate NY, and as long as the roads aren't icy, I am riding. I still ended up riding at least 3 days a week during the winter, and plan on getting a 2wd Ural or a Spyder for the days when traction is an issue.

The riding season is the biggest pull - but there's year round riding on the east coast just as well.

I live in Wisconsin, and like Froggy, I ride if the roads are free of snow and ice.

You couldn't pay me enough to live in California.

I lived in Manhattan Beach for a year and Coronado Island (condos next to the Hotel Del) for two years.

I'd move back for about $0.25 if I got to be 22, single, and have nothing but time on my hands.

Er wait . . . l looking back I may have been lucky to survive the first go around.

In fact . . . I think a Playmate would keep you young.

Santa Barbara. They call it the American Riviera, but it will cost much more than 25 cents.

Hopefully things work out with my job interview and I get to move there.

Why dont you tell us a little bit about your cost of living in that beautiful state

Me for example: about 2.60 per gallon of regular right now. I have an 1800 square foot house I bought foreclosed for 85K. Property taxes are a tad high(IMO) at 2K per year. Tag renewal is about 50 for car and 75 for trucks. It went up about 25 dollars after they did away with emissions testing which coincidentally was about $25.

The humidity sucks ass here for about 2 months out of the year but I do enjoy the snow.

Beautiful? Try MAJESTIC!

Cost of living? Try living in Hawaii, Alaska (talk about socialism, government subsidies, and incompetent repugnitons) or even NYC. (Court, how much do you pay for your dwelling?)

I know I pay a little more than you flatlanders, (for what you say I'm not sure (gas is $2.80)), but it's worth it!

I can ride 2 hours and either be above 10,000 ft. or at sea level--surfing!

I hear the surf is high in oHIo!

I'm not sure how you want to spend your time on Earth, but I am a Californian Native, and plan (edit from "plant" typo) to be planted here some day.

I was going to take the time to make something along these lines, but someone already did 6 years ago!

The resemblance is striking IMHO on so many levels!

Cost of living is more in Cali, but so are the wages...Seems every state has good and bad. I like it here, but then again it's the only place I've lived.

I loved living in CA and always joked it was the only place you could snow ski in the morning, surf in the afternoon and sleep in the desert.

Like General Motors it is a once great thing that has been poorly managed.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in SoCal.

Like I said...

I can't wait until the big one hits and everything East of the San Andreas slides off into the Atlantic.

Wasn't this a joke thread?

I like camping too but I prefer to live where things are green and the electricity works. This was where I spent last weekend.

Fish mutilation is like the illegal occupation of iraq. You might as well wear a swastika on your arm.

I just don't know how someone could do something so inhumane and then also try to profit from it.
