So am I. I really like women..far more than most men can.... In answer to the title of the thread. Conservatives seem mean because they act like an adolescent's parents. They insist on paying for fun. They don't believe you get free stuff without strings. They tend to be fuddy duddies on moral issues. Like insisting that morals are not completely relative, and that a slave owning & selling culture might not be equal to one that built space ships. Now Republican politicians, for the most part are not conservative. Look at the bozo who ran for prez. last year. He would have been a fine progressive candidate for the Dem's any year but last. He'd have had no chance of nomination against Hillary, a committed progressive & Barack...what ever he is. It's natural for children ( see most media talking heads...Keith Uberman is the most obvious spoiled brat ) to resent being told they can't have everything they want. "you can't have that 4 wheeler unless you pay for it".... "you're MEAN!! I hate you!" pretty typical statements. | ||

I can't say that I do or don't like "HIM", as I don't know him personally. I can say, without a doubt, that I don't like many of his policies/ideas. I find them to be intrusive on liberty and individual freedom and responsibility. And that is a fact that cannot be disputed by anyone. And that is why I wouldn't, and didn't vote for him. He could ride a continuous wheelie until he ran out of fuel, and I still wouldn't vote for him... Unless the vote was for the most bad-ass wheelie rider trophy. I do hope that Obama does a good job. And by that, I mean leads this country based on the foundations of our Nation.. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And the recognition that the PEOPLE of this country are what makes it great... not its Government. And the respect for individual freedom. Will that ever happen? I hope so, but am not betting on that happening with ANY of the current people in power... Democrats and Republicans alike. } | ||
