Sorry I couldn't ride down witcha, Mike- we'd gotten into a habit of sorts, eh?

At least you won't have to worry about the Beer Fairy going up in a explosion of gasoline and other combustibles. Eek!

Ride safe, put the rain gear on, and reduce speed by 30%. This allows 30% more enjoyment of the ride, regardless of the rain...

Camping will suck for those who haven't triple checked for rain readiness. Won't suck otherwise, with a few tarps and shelter. Still kinda wish I could've gone.

Cabins will be where it's at this time round. (Rain, rest and relaxation, if no real heavy-duty riding. Sounds good to me, but hey- I'm starting my new job this week.)

Live weather report from the front porch of TWO..... Raining and 46... Radar indicates a clear patch after the string of showers. Hopefully the rain will be gone for a bit in about an hour or two!!

86, Thanks for the route. We usually head up 68 to Tellico, across the CheryCola, then hit the Dragon for 1-2 runs and come back down 129.

If weather allows, I want to ride over on Sunday just so I can meet some of you guys. Like to be able to put a face to these names I see everyday. Trying to talk my cousin into making the trip with me, hope you guys dont mind a Honda showing up. I told him as long as he shows up with a Buell, he should be find.

Is anyone going to have their ECMSpy with them? I think I might need a TPS reset done.

Paint: I garunnttee youn's will like that ride.

*THE ENTIRE RIDE* is great, shorter than your regular run for Cherries and Dragons, plus ENDLESS curves. (129 will go straight on the way back to GA long enough to bore me.)

I live where the Dragon is literally in my backyard- this is WAY better, my new fave easily.

If you linked to www.fromthehandlebars.com to look at it and read the article you'll see.

BONUS: If it's raining and youn's are bored, read the rest of the articles in that mag online. It's Vol 5 Issue 3- significantly the 3rd issue since the editors and writers of Metropulse took over. MUCH improved, lots and lots of good content. (Wasn't that way before, nuff said...)

I know several of the contributors, including Ben Steinberg over at the Gap store. Steve Dupree is a firebrand, a BIG mofo, and a great dude. Everyone else who's written so far has been good. Someday I hope to send in some submissions myself, been asked to but too busy to really write something. (Posting to Badweb doesn't count...)

Keep posting, youn's, for all us living vicariously not in attendance.

Live update 2 from the front porch at TWO:

Light on/off rain. Some fog. About 50 degrees or so...

Road conditions; ALL wet. Hwy 60 south of TWO, not much gravel. Hwy 180 (Wolf Pen Gap) from TWO to 129, some gravel, not too bad. Hwy 129 not much gravel. Hwy 180 to US 17 Gravel free. Richard B Russel, not much gravel, some nasty pavement joints near the the top. Hwy 60 North of TWO, Unknown.

The bike shop just north of Dalonaga is open. They have a HUGE selection of Field Sheer jackets/pants. Some Aprilias and Moto Guzzis on the floor. I am sure they have tires, but I did not check.

I just spoke to Bubo at C3 Central....wish we were there. Just not meant to be. Carlee has a English project due tomorrow on top of a Science project due as well. Then to make it better, Baylee (our 7 year old) pulls the fire alarm in the gym today. Luckily enough, it was a secondary alarm to alert the teacher that the protective plastic box had been lifted. He was able to reset it instead of the fire department. I love my children!

March Badness VI for this weekend has been canceled due to severe weather conditions.

Please accept our humble apology but it is imperative that we cancel the event for this weekend. The Buell coordinator, myself and the operating manager of Stone Mountain H-D & Buell have been in close contact for the last several hours. All of us agree that for safety reasons and weather conditions it is best for us all to reschedule for a future date.

Once the date is determined I will post on BadWeb.

Thanks to all for your participation in past events and we look forward to bright sunny days ahead when we can get in two full days of riding new Buells.

Feel free to contact me with questions.

Great to hear Smokescreen!

I look forward to seeing pics.

I had a good time last year despite the rain. It was great meeting Danny, Travis, Russ, David and Tony. It was also the best my S1W has run (I had just put it back together).

I still have the C3 sticker on my S1W from that event.

I would rather have rain right now rather than this crap we are getting in Colorado.

Ride safe!
