M2nc and Etennuly don't snore at all. I moved my tent the second night at the WV Ride just because I found softer grass!!!

A bit too wet for my tent last year at MB, so hoping I will like C3 Central better this time around.

Artic - wish I could find a softer bed some nights!

I think you'll find C3 Central quiet comfortable and much drier than camping!

Word- as of yesterday and today Deal's Gap is Perfect!! I'll be riding it the rest of the afternoon! Hope it'll be that way when youn's are traveling. TDOT has been working on parts of the Gap earlier in the day, but few squids and NO po-po so far!

Since I can't make MBVI, I'm planning an end-of-staycation ride all day Saturday, from Mur-vil- who's in?! Might just ride down to Suches and back, to say I did...

Edit: My St Patty's day ride was great, but I may have spun a crank bearing. Sounds like extra marbles/nickels flopping around in my bottom end. Gonna stay off the XB until my mechanic gives it the hairy eyeball...

Youn's ride safe! Here's a suggestion for a ride from Tellico Plains TN:

68 to 339 to 315 to Reliance TN, then 30 to 64 to 68 to the TN/GA line, then 60 to TWO!!

Do it for me and tell me whutcha think. I'll bet youn's would like those roads better than the Dragon!!

Hopefully I'll see y'all at Buelltoberfest!!

I think I'm gonna ride . I would like to camp and party but 40degrees in a tent is COLD. Unless someone talks me out of it I think I will ride back and forth. Planning on leaving Ringgold around 8am sat morning. What do ya think?
Rick

It looks like we have at least 1 open spot at C3 Central. A 2nd spot may be open, waiting on confirmation from a fellow Badwebber.

If you're interested, drop me a PM. Your share of the cabin would be $108 for three nights (Thursday - Sunday).

OK, I've started my MBVI weather watch (I do this every year). NOTHING shows you how useless weather reporting is more than a couple of days in advance like this:

weather

I'll try and post this same forecast a few times. HOPEFULLY by next Wednesday they'll be predicting sunny skies with highs in the 70's!

EVERY YEAR! Arrgh, that get's old. However, you are right...I've seen lots of ten day forecasts change drastically. Let's hope so.

Lol thats what happens when you use weather.com!

Use Weatherunderground for real info.

http://www.wunder.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForec ast?query=suches,%20ga&wuSelect=WEATHER

They don't go and predict the weather more than a week ahead of time, no brainer why.

So, Ratyson, does that mean you can make it?

Froggy- Yea, I normally rely on Wunderground too. There is no use in trying to predict more than ~5 days in advance, and they rarely get that right!

Nope.. still can't make it. This is the end of our production quarter, and we have some major projects to finish up along with the ridiculous production orders that always get the dust blown off of them at the end of each quarter.

Basically we were told to not even bother putting in vacation requests for the last week or two of each quarter. And to expect a call over those weekends.

Being a test design engineer is fun... but sometimes you pay for that fun.

AAhhh. Thanks Glitch- I admire your minds eye and the camera.

+1.

PS- What does a spun cam or crank bearing sound like? I haven't lost power, but my motor sounds a little more like my grampa's old ice cream maker when you add salt. Primary appears to be in adjustment. Aint riding it until I figger it out. Definitely bottom end.

Drain the oil and take a look at the drain plug magnet.

I admire your minds eye and the camera.
I get lucky every once in a while.

Uly.

The clutch blew up. He's hoping that it's just the clutch, but I don't know.

Thanks to Oldog, I've got the locking bar and torque wrench. Barker's got his new clutch. I've got a new clutch and puller for mine.

Chad's got the manual and the beer. He's also got the No-Mar.

We gonna have us a goot tyme!

I hope Barker didn't get an Energy One clutch.
That is what I used when my Uly clutch fried about 1.5 yrs ago.
I finally got it to work, but it will NOT work the way Energy One sends it. They are apparently unaware of the most recent clutch pack changes at Buell.
I eventually had to tear it down again, measure up everything, do a bunch of calculations, and .....

Bottom line: Had to pull out all the Energy One steel plates and replace them with a new set of OEM H-D steels.
The E One steels are thinner and made the clutch pack too small.

Anyway, if it is an Energy One, I can help.
I meant to post an update, but never did, since it seemed no one else had any clutch concerns.
Energy One helped me at first, but the guy stopped responding when I figured out the real problem.

Oh no.... not rain again! I went through this last year, (don't get me wrong, I'll ride in the rain... this isn't "fairweatherbikers.com" mind you) but I wanted to have the sun on my back as I scraped my pegs so that I could watch the edges of my tires wad up into little balls.

Just can't do that on wet payment!

I've seen mostly good results with E one.

Maybe they corrected the problem?

Rick, Your schedule sounds good to me. However, if the forecast stays the same as what's posted on this thread, I may change my mind. But I'm still planning to go.
