The only problem with the Colorado event is the dates. That late in the year, it'll be raining and starting to get cold. Those roads rock in the summer. If they put it in July or early August, it woulda been perfect.

Of course, that's not gonna stop me from going. If anyone wants to pad their stay by a day or two, we can show you a ton of great rides in northern New Mexico, just an hour or so away from Durango. You absolutely, positively have to ride US 64 from Tierra Amarilla to Tres Piedras. It's not real long, but it's really fun. Also, the stretch from Chama to Pagosa Springs is nice.

The non-BRAG Buell event there in Colorado a few years ago in a July found rain and mudslides. Just part and parcel of being in the mountains. I think some of the riders even found hail and snow. September might actually work out nicely for the weather. Plus fewer tourists and motorhomes after Labor Day and before the SnowFly season.

When I lived in Colorado Springs(1973-1977), I saw 70 degree weather in January, and snow in June. Be prepared for anything - you'll probably get it.

Damn it all, I'm gonna miss Homecoming again...

...I will be going to North Carolina, though (and for longer than three days!)...maybe I'll just wait to get my Drummer then. Bubba, how far is Boone from your shop?

That think is STILL leaking?

LOL...hey, I managed OH, VA, WV, PA, MA, NH, VT, NY, ME...umm...I'm sure I'm forgetting one...oh, yeah, MD - last year with 40 lbs on clothes on the ass end of it and no problems.

I definitely don't want to break another bone, though!

Nothing's going to stop me from being there, and my bike'll have all sorts of new goodies on it by then, too! I'm gonna seriously need the vacation by that time.
