Nah, there's something fundamentally wrong with a mainstream manufacturer producing a chopper.

Wow, that chopper looks just like a big, bloodshot eyeball.

That's all I could see anyway with that link.

It initially was supposed to have a radiator under the seat...

Sound familiar

Which blood vessel is the seat and which is the radiator?

looks pretty simple.... I bet it will be cost effective... slap a West Coast Choppa sticker on it and then you'd be good to go..

I get a kick out of the fact they don't put a Honda badge on it anywhere.

3.4 gallons, 60hp, 70lb-ft. Wheeee.

Actually, there's a small HONDA badge on the rear fender. Very small.
It definitely won't be a speed demon, but if it's relatively cheap (and if it's using the VTX 1300 engine, it should be) I can see Honda selling a bunch of them.

I like it that until you get to the studio pictures you never see a picture of the left side of the bike.

+1 on the Star Raider. One of the few Japanese cruisers that does anything at all for me.

That Honda looks like it was made by Norelco.

I saw a picture of the silver version and it looks great. Looks like those hardtail frames with the low-seat and the oil bag moved elsewhere.

buy it used after mr metrosesual gets their delicate sensibilities offended because its not a "Real BIKE" , Aug 15th should be good, right after he trailers it home from trying to blend in at Sturgis.

Ive got a nasty lil Honda Bobber 602cc that just got green lighted, should be on the street by tax time. You want to hooligan around town... This is the bi@tch for that, and under $1000.00

i think it's a good looking bike for a factory custom, and being a Honda, it's a given the overall quality, fit, finish, function and dependability will be second to none.

i've been to Sturgis a couple of times, and altho the majority of bikes are Harleys, there are copious other motors in evidence as well, from every maker and country you can imagine, and it's all good - nobody really cares what you ride, so long as you ride.

which is, of course, as it should be.

That's one clean design. So clean, I don't see a place to re-hang the license plate holder on the side.

A buddy of mine got a hardtail frame from Detriot Brothers for a sporty or old buell engine that looks nearly identical to the shape of the new Honda. The oil bag is relocated and the seat is low. They even welded on a KX headstock for him, and he bolted on a 21-inch dirt bike front end, complete with disk brake.

Anyway, he put a Kawi 650 engine in instead. Tons of air between the engine and frame.

Too bad it is a shaft!! Not much options in the custom side as far as wheels and such.. but ok for a factory custom. rather that than most american choices

If I wanted a Chopper that would fit the bill. nice lines, the radiator is blended into the frame between the front down tubes. Not too much chrome, I like the blue, shaft drive who cares, I get tired of fixing stuff. Its GTO if its typical japanese. what were they asking for it?

I would not bet against some involvement by a high end builder, Jesse James could be one, he did a custom cafe racer from a honda v2 for American Honda a couple of years back it was shaft drive he used a saw blade shaped brake disk on the drive shaft as the rear brake it would not have gotten many cat calls here.

It looks nice, that's for sure, but I don't think it will be a contender until it gets the 1800 motor and a chain or belt drive.
