You could do figure-8's in the driveway with those things, the older ones supposedly turn even tighter. See if your local dealership will let you take one out for a test drive, but don't ask about a test drive until listening to all the salescritters. The one I test drove last year or so kept telling me to not use the brakes, to go faster, turn harder. My passenger in the back probably left fingerholes in the seat.  I'd get one if I could afford it. Vik's wife has a supercharged one out in Sac. | ||

Ben...wasn't picking on you and apparently we do agree in principle. Was picking on the SafetyCrats and how mankind managed to survive quite nicely without their help. Do with your children what you wish. They are your responsibility and you obviously are intelligent enough to make good decisions concerning their welfare. If other parents did the same, you wouldn't be forced by law to do certain things. Same applies to folks taking responsibility for their actions with any activity. My personal opinion of helmet use is that it is a matter of choice. I wear it on sport or long distance rides. I leave it at home when I am cruising the local countryside. I had two wipeouts that would have killed me outright had I not been wearing a FULL FACE HELMET. Any helmet less than a full face and I would be auditioning for horror flicks without make-up. Incidentally, both of those accidents were on sport rides and as I mentioned, I don't leave home without one for that purpose. Cruising on the Harley or any other standard/dual purpose bike is not a threat to me. However, when I want to play/ride hard, regardless which bike I ride, I wear the appropo protection, including body armour. Love your concept about the "Coup de Grace." Is one of the reasons I stopped riding with the groups like BRAG. Too many close calls for extremely ignorant reasons. My preference would have been carrying a throw-away rather than the first aid kit. I know that sounds very bad, but I only want to ride with people that have the same skill levels and mentality. That is my safety criteria for a successful and enjoyable ride. If I find myself in a group that does not meet this criteria, depending on the circumstances, I either lead, follow or leave. Well, this isn't an "ugliest car" list. I found this while doing a search for "worst cars". It's a list of the Top 10 "Cars for Gay Guys". There are at least a few Badwebber I know that own some of these cars: 10. Chrysler Sebring 9. VW Carbio 8. VW Golf 7. Saturn SC1 6. Saab 900 sorry Newfie; first South Park, now this  5. Mazda Miato as if we don't already have reservations about Nevco 4. Jeep Wrangler not sure how this fits into this catagory 3. BMW 3 Series 2. VW Beetle no shit, Sherlock 1. VW Jetta just a cheap verison of an Audi A4 My choice for worst car ever....Cadillac Cimarron. | ||

Way back in the day, I had a '59 bug eye Sprite and my feelings are sincerely hurt that beautiful little piece of sheet metal art made someone's ugly car list. As far as that goes, I like the new Ford 150 pick up trucks but I guess not everyone agrees. In a moment of weakness, I once bought a 1960 Chevy Impala, white with brown interior, and have regretted it ever since. The '59 was sort of cool in a weird way, but the '60 version was just ugly. I also nominate the '58 Ford Galaxy with the retractable hard top. And a mere fifteen years later Plymouth made the Valiant. Not a bad car actually, but it made the Easel look cute. We don't even want to talk about all the mid '60's Chrysler products, all French cars from all eras, anything and everything made by AMC, current GMC offerings - especially that full size four door almost a pick up thing, and most new Toyotas. I'm kind of liking the new Nissans but the jury is still out. | ||

Ah, the infamous BMW ISETA. I had forgotten about that little German POC although I shouldn't have, as I saw one just last summer. If not one of the ugliest, then certainly one of the most dangerous cars ever made. It taught a person everything he would ever need to know about the dangers of tailgating. | ||

Hey hey now!!! Dont go pickin on the Gremlin. My grandparents, mother, uncles, etc all worked at AMC building those babies. We had so many here that to us they are normal looking. I've owned 3 of them, one had a 360 V8 that I built in it. Was on seriously fast & scary car | ||
