Anybody got suggestions on places to find clothes that don't make me look like this:

Not that theres, hehe, anything wrong, huhuh, with golf.

The last few times I went into a Kohl's I just walked around thinking, "I don't want to wear that, or that, or that." My current rotation is about 3 years old, pretty faded and sad looking. And generic.

My office is business casual (engineering office), so I'm sortof envisioning a "motorcycle ridin' beer drinkin' redneck with a desk job" sort of scheme. I've already got the boots.

They ain't got that at Kohl's.

I started a new job 2 months ago and am forced to dress up like the schumks in that picture. I hate it, I can't find anything anywhere that is comfortable. Shirts itch, pants are too tight, and its a huge pain in the ass to do the buttons on a shirt. Who the hell invented this crap?

I had to get used to dressing like a schmuck when I got into this line of work, I feel your pain. But lately I'm scheming on how to do my own thing and still be up to code.

I have a pair of Columbia pants that work well, so I may look for more of their stuff. If I can just find a couple of stores or websites that carry my kind of clothes I think I can make it work.

I always feel like the department stores are trying to dress me up like a Ken doll.

I've actually been impressed with Target's selection lately. Nice, but very casual, bordering on "hip" (I hate that word).

Slavemart has some nice dress clothes on the cheap, you could also try Salvation Army/Goodwill stores.

Try looking at some Carhart items (dungarees.net) clean & pressed, they can pass for business casual.

got in trouble at the last job because apparently my version of casual was a little more casual than theirs....
WTf, sandals, denim shorts and a Hawaiian shirt... thats my casual. Insurance geeks had no sense of humor.

I quit that job 5 years ago and moved to motorcycles. I change jobs, houses, girlfriends on about a 2.6 year rotation. The next one is going to be huge, both the house and the ex are on the outs. Revolution is necessary, it keeps things simple and honest.

TUCK IN MY SHIRT!!! I HATE THAT!
Try some old navy stuff if you have one around where you live. I got some great black denim jeans with boot cut bottoms from old slavy and they look great with my black boots

If you are looking for something well made and timeless.

Brooks Brothers.

I have quite a bit of their stuff.

FYI, if you are in a business situation and need professional attire. BB will tailor shirts/suits for quite a bit less than most other tailors.
My business partner has a large neck (18in dress shirt). Most off the rack stuff stops at 17.5. I have long arms (35) and a modest neck (15.5).
We now have an account with BB and it is truly a nice shopping experience.
Once they get all your measurements you get an account number. At any time you can call either your local sales associate, or the main store in NYC and have something made.
If I remember dress shirts start at ~$120, a super 120 suit is ~850. In the tailored world this is an absolute steal. After wearing a quality tailored shirt you will wonder why you didn't get one sooner.

And their tailored stuff is American made.

Yeah, uh...how do I put this...no.

Seriously, though, I agree BB is the place to go for the good stuff, I just can't stomach paying that much. An ex-coworker of mine was a BB shopper, always looked sharp and dressed much better than me.

We made the same money.

I've got some dress clothes but I seldom need them in my current job, just biz casual.

Anybody know a source for Western-ish shirts that are somewhat normal (no rhinestones or fringe)?

Or F%#* it, how about some rhinestones and fringe?

Can't beat Khaki's and just about any shirt you want to wear, be it Polo, Izod, Buell, or a dress shirt. If the khakis are a little tight, get the relaxed fit.

About the fringe and rhinestone shirts, you are on your there Cowboy. That is unless you have a Saba's Western Wear store in your area.

BB was the place to go. When i had to dress nice for work, the would set you up nice. Yes its not free, but they make you look and feel like a $1,000,000 the in house alterations is fast and good.

ZING!

Touche, monkey.

A quick search has yielded these ideas: Columbia shirts and pants, wrangler khakis, carhartt pants, and brokeback mountain shirts.

I think I can make this work.

You should wear full hockey gear.
If anyone messes with you, just crosscheck 'em into the plexi!

When I found out the studio was going to auction off the original shirt used in Brokeback Mountain, I thought about trying to get it for my business partner.
It very quickly got bid up well out of my price range, it sold for over $100k

mechanic shirts and jeans, I could open a small apparrel shop with all the HD stuff in my closet. I seriously need a fashion intervention. Over 5 years, I have amassed 85 H-D button down shirts....
Maybe I should start a shirt exchange. I will send you a HD shirt in exchange for a Hawaiian shirt, or button down bowling shirt.... Any Takers (nothing for sale so it shouldnt upset the sponsors)
