I passed their demo truck in Kentucky. Driver gave my Uly the thumbs up as I pulled along side.

I used to ride snomobiles back in the day. Quad runners on sand feel just like a snomobile. So you that have ridden them say they feel and handle like a big sled eh?

If the guy in the off road pic was serious about being sideways he'd have booth feet on the inside foot peg!

I guess Harley has three of these things. One of my buddies took it home and damn near tossed off his girlfriend.

"Had one for two days, easy to loose your passenger though in the corners, comes stock with a lateral G gauge. Those big handles on the rear are well used."

eeeeeyyywwwweeee ya dirt. I would get one of those before I got a SmartCar or a Prius. Knobbies from the car tire mart.... gotta be easier to get some aggressive tread.

I test rode one @ Myrtle Beach. What a hoot! and what Powwwwwer! I would love to have one, but the price tag is just ridiculous, specially if you look at the base model vs what Dave has. I believe that particular model is about 20,000. Hardest thing for me to get use to was the center lane riding that you have to do. Not so much staying there, but keeping it there. The un-even road surface really pulls it one or the other! It Also required much more steering effort than what I expected, even underway. But after a little bit of miles, it was a blast!
Keep us updated on what you find Dave.

They said they wouldn't take her on trade.....

something about me riding it to hard and to many miles.... Kinda bummed me out, all original and looks better now than when I got her....
thier loss is my gain.

A 'Man's' vehicle - that's for sure.

I walked by the demo truck in the parking lot today.

Saw the first one in motion, it looks very smooth and athletic. Not for me, but very cool.

This thread got me so curious (and jealous) that I went to a local dealer,Cedar Creek Motorsports in Cedarburg WI, and took one for a spin. I've been a snowmobile and ATV guy so I was prepared somewhat. I was amazed. Its faster than I thought it would be and surprisingly nimble for what it is. I didn't have to lean nearly as much as I do in my sled to corner. Reverse will come in handy, there's no turning this thing on a dime. The auto shift will be a nice for folks who don't want to shift, but the sales guy said it won't be out until October here. The seat is very comfy as is the riding position. Its somewhat forward like my S, but can be layed back a touch with an optional riser I was told.

The only drawbacks I had were no handle bar brake and there's alot of cheap looking plastic. Very much like a snowmobile.

They had a "test lap" mapped out so I was limited to where I could go, but If I had an extra 16k laying around, I'd own one, zero doubt.

Have fun Dave!! Take lots of pics

My mom got one two weeks ago! She loves it. My folks were out riding the other day and my dad - on a Victory Vegas Custom, was wondering where my mom was. He heard this crazy sound that scared the crap out of him as mom blasted past him at 100 mph. She got the race pipe LOL. Dad really has to work to keep ahead of mom now.

She just loves it.

2nd tank of gas complete.

Miserable weather here, quite wet and the aftermath of a big sub-tropical storm yesterday. Too wet for Cameras, but I naturally took it through my demanding sports bike test loop.

I think in the conditions I had more fun and did it faster than on the Uly - in these conditions.

Lining up in traffic is a PITA.

Open road motoring is quite exhilarating.

Great Vehicle.

We seem to have a Can am thread every 3 months around here.

I have spent time on one, I was not a big fan.

Dave if you are doing a review, you need to look at the reliability of it. A neighbor of my folks HAD one. His ended up being bought back by the mfg.
His was an early model, but they kept having brake/transmission issues. They were forced to redesign the brakes several times.
In one of the other threads I wrote a detailed post what happened. Not my idea of fun.

First models of ANY vehicle have problems. The issues that the first Spyders had will be worked out.

The rest of BRP's vehicles are good quality. They Spyder will be too.

I would love to have one. I didn't like the foot pegs. I would have to do some changes there. I haven't ridden one yet. they do sound good with an aftermarket exhaust.... REX

I can't imagine why they'd be having brake system issues. Cars have had disc brakes for how long now? Are they trying to reinvent the wheel, or what?

Just returned it.

Don't blame you coveting one FB. Mightily enjoyable vehicle once you get the hang of it.

email arrived while I was out - pick up a new GL1800 Goldwing on Monday.

Just what the anti-farkler needs. Sat-nav and air vents.

Gunna take the mrs 'looksury touring' for our anniversary.

Tally ho.

That could be the all weather vehicle I need for when it gets really mucky slushy snowy and unfriendly for two wheels. (death before minivan)

Nah - it will let the back break loose - but as soon as it starts to tip over and break loose simultaneously the traction control stutters the motor.
