Looks like the 25th wasn't so spectacular this year in their eyes. Its disapeared from the home page and tucked back into "events" with pics of last year's HC.

They've changed the site this week with not one mention of it. I would have thought 08 HC would have been front page for at least this week.

Give them some time to sort through the mountains of pictures and video they took, I'm sure we'll see it on there eventually.

I suppose, but I thought last year they had it up by the beginning of the week right after HC.

That's true though, the little irritating video guy was running around all over the place. I was in line to get EB's signature on my book and watched him get mic'd...looked like he was at the dentist getting wisdom teeth pulled.

The "little irritating video guy" was Steve Natt and his crew. Helluva rider and helluva guy to boot.

Steve was a pretty cool guy. I talked with him for a while and he seemed excited to be at the event.

He used to do American Thunder on SpeedTV, I believe, and told Pellis that he left the show when they pushed him to start saying nice things about bikes that were being featured. Sounds like a stand-up guy to me.

He's also a Badwebber. HE was retained by Harley-Davidson and had a job to do. I'm not sure how much of it was related to the 25th.

The folks at Buell were thrilled with the turn out and the way things went. I'm sure we'll be hearing about it for a long time.

My bags are not even unpacked, I'd not read too much into what does or does not happen on the website . . . which, by the way, is maintained by another outside contractor.

If any of Steve's material is headed to the website it's going to take time to clear legal and media hurdles. . . but, that's corporate America. No different than you'd do.

It was a spectacular event.

By the way . . media folks are paid to be irritating. It's their job.

I spent my two years with The White House Advance Team as head of Media Advance and bit my tongue many times fulfilling requests for the types of donuts and coffee all the media folks wanted on the bus and flights.

I'd instruct them to be somewhere 2 hours in advance to clear site security and invariably a van load, with full gear, would pull up 20 minutes prior to an event.

Once I figured that if I were in their shoes I'd do the same thing it bother me less.

I guess me and my stock UlyXT just weren't sexy enough - they all left me alone aside from wandering up and quietly filming my little story concerning my Blast.

...I can't even remember who I was talking to then...Fred of the Blue M2? Crap.

Nah it's not. Some of them are just sanctimonious asshats.

Maybe so in the political gig - but obliging and respectful pays much better with bikers.

Hmm, guess I got lucky. He interviewed me and asked a bunch of questions both about my Buell and why I ride, motorcycles in general - and why a Buell specifically.

He told me his name at the beginning of the interview, but I never put his name with the TV stuff. Probably because he just introduced himself by saying his name, not and "I did this and this and this and this" etc..... If he would have mentioned some of the gigs he's done in the past, maybe the little light bulb above my head would have gone off.

Yah, he recognized me from 1125 school at Pocono. Asked me a bunch of questions about my S2 and I gave some really crappy, almost canned answers.

I *hate* being in front of a camera. That's why I was a rigger...

I can flat guarantee Steve Natt isn't as irritating as you are, Buellinachinashop. And he's one hell of a motorcyclist and motojournalist!

Steve is GOOD peeps in my book.
Spent some time at Mid Ohio during the 1125R Dealer day and he was all about the 1125R.
He gets a big Peanut Butter Jelly time from me.

>>>Maybe so in the political gig

I'll grant you that.

I spent two years with The White House and many of them were pompous and irritating.

I've done a number of pre-production demo riding events where I escorted journalists to secret locations to ride upcoming models and have yet to meet one who hadn't been kind and gracious. I>n fact, my last assignment was the crew from BIKE magazine in the UK and they were fabulous. Tim Carritiers and I spent the day with them.

I'm thinking that motorcycles have a calming effect.

: )

Frankly, I ran onto Nate and his staff at all the events and found them fun to visit with and hard working. They compete with other firms for the gigs with Harleywood and I know they want to do a good job.

Cool beans on getting the 25th stuff up!

Picture number 4 in the Registration section, China. We're famous! ; )

There was a really nice picture of MJ in the Factory section, too, with the tank decals reflected in the mirror.
