I cannot even begin to tell you how much fun I had. To everyone new I met....THANKS!!! Yall made this year a hoot!

Riding the 50 around the loop was just silly! I had engine failure at the halfway point but railing down 180 and 129 at wide open was a hoot!

I'm home!
keith dropped his bike at the Georgia/TN state line. We were pulling into a gas station and his front end just washed out. I blame it on the lot because it was the slick finished cement. Who puts finished cement in a parking lot? Retards.

I ended up taking Cherokee National Forrest for part of the way. I wandered over to West Virginia thru Kentucky. I paced a Mercedes, Audi and a Vette running 100+ all the way to the border. After a couple wrong turns, I made my way to Point Pleasant, WV. For those of you who don't know, it was the setting of a rash of UFO sightings, a large winged creature and the collapse of the Silver Bridge. There's a book called Mothman Prophecies by John Keel that isn't a bad book.

A majority of the sightings happened in/near an abandoned TNT factory that was employed during WWII and is now a wildlife preserve. This is a picture of the main bunker where a majority of the sightings happened.

Closer

Inside.

Back to the bike.

After leaving Point Pleasant, WV, I crossed the river, headed up Rt 7 and found the Triple Nickle. I'm not too thrilled with the road. It would be fun if it wasn't for the mud and gravel in all of the turns. I made it to 78 and took it to 13 to get home.

Glad to see you guys made it back Thumper, sorry to hear about Keith's spill though that surely wont help his confidence on that thing. He needs to get to some of those riding courses to see what he's doing wrong and how he can do it better. Maybee next time he will be more willing to join us for a ride in the twisties. This is Will by the way. Anyways glad you made it back in one piece.

I was kind of low profile due to the weather and staying in a cabin vs the campground. The best parts were meeting up at Smoky Mtn HD with a great contingent of bikers. The Orange group had the majority until the Ohio riders showed up. Sitting on the front porch and getting sh## faced with 86129Squids, Etennuly, Gotj and my best bud Darren was a great stress reliever and made returning to work bearable.
Hope everyone had as good of a time as I did! See you at Buelltoberfest!

PS Its a crime to demo ride an 1125R at 35 mph and under.....Arrghh!

Man, what a time!!
I don't even know where to start. So many neat folks and such a GREAT time!
The rain really put a damper on things but didn't stop them completely.
I'd go back next year in a heartbeat!
Norice, that was a fun ride wasn't it? I'm really glad I didn't "take it easy". There are some REALLY good shots of you on ZeePhoto and Extream. I'm even a couple of them. My form compared to yours is, well, um, IT SUCKS! Got some work to do there.
I wish I could have meet more of the folks there. It was hard remembering names vs BWB nicknames.
Rain or not, I'm coming back next year.

I'll post some pics as soon as I get them uploaded. I didn't take many due to the rain and such.

Hey yall
Just wanted to chime in and thank everyone for their kind hospitality....and Vern! the paint job looks great ...unfortunately I managed to leave my camera somewhere along the way home, hopefully I'll recover it soon. For those of you who caught a glimpse of those Uly orange saddlebags..Etenully is your man! Found a pic on Froggy's pics
http://froggypwns.com/images/MarchBadness5/slides/IMG_2339.html

Mark, George it was great meeting you guys as with Marko and Larry, so this is what the Uly thing is about eh? Great fun, six hours out on the interstates in the rain on the way home was not much fun but well worth the trip. 880 miles in the cage and 690 on the Uly and a great event! Sorry I didn't socialize much, next time I'll figure out the tent thing. Hey FWIW, my high dollar goretex jacket worked like a charm.... but so did my Wally world fishing pants at about a tenth of the price.... I did tag along some fellow on a GS in the rainy fog around Asheville and I can certainly 'see' the wisdom behind a dayglo yellow jacket when it is crappy out. Where's the volunteer list for the WV event? sign me up

You never know where you are going to end up when you follow U4euh. On route to Helen, U4euh shows us his short cut through the woods. A one lane paved road that changes to a one lane gravel road with a waterfall and two water crossing adds a little adventure to Badness. The funny part was that only two out of the five bikes were Ulys. I really thought the Super Hawk did great on the water crossings and double as a great street washer. Here are a few shots of the waterfall.

C3'jrs

Webe and Old Dog at the bottom of the waterfall, while C3'jrs on top of first tier.

Think a near 12 o'clock up Blood Mountain in the rain requires great balance? Well, U4euh, with DV'us watching, shows us that his balance can be adapted to other feats.

Best pics I took all weekend; warming the test ride bikes up on Sunday morning:

Webe, I guess that's you checking out the gauges on that 1125R.

Closeup from the same scene:

The guy had just fired up the 1125R's and the moisture on the pipes immediately started steaming off. Between the fog and the steam, it looked pretty cool. I'd have loved to test ride an 1125R, but we had a ~7 hour ride back to lower SC so we had to hit the road early.

I got to meet a few more Badwebbers, and had a great time despite not getting to ride that much.

zee has some good photos of me, but the ones on us129 look kick ass. the color is a bit odd in a good way. the back ground is a bit greyish but the color of my bike stands out and looks sweet!

killboy didnt get very many pics on friday compared to what is usually taken.

the new highlight page isnt up yet though either.

Erm, that was last year. And both guys were up and riding later that day.

I think Killboy updates the highlights page every wednesday. And what the heck? Killboy took half the amount of pictures as US129.

US129 took my best shot:
