Ok, how do you guys transport coffee? I'm a regular at Starbucks and need to know what kind of holders you boys/girls concocted for moving the goods.

I thought about a Thermos, but hos do you get a Raspberry Mocha Frappacino in Thermos?

Buy drink, pour it in thermos, toss in backpack, go to work. That's what I do anyway.

I can't mix my frappacino and whip cream. They need to be apart until the very end, but I see I'll have to be a mixer.

I think Hoon on Advrider.com has a cup holder mounted to his handlebars.

I'd make a comment about fru-fru coffee, but I'm hopelessly addicted to those damn Green Tea Frappuccino things.

Damn crack peddlers, the lot of 'em.

I transport a cup of coffee from the 7-11 to the work every morning. It's only a mile between the store and the work yard.

I use the small pouch on my tank bag to hold the 7-11 cup.
I'll put either a piece of plastic wrap or a ziploc bag over the top of the cup then I put the lid on over that to keep it from splashing out.

On edit: 7-11 coffee may very well be the worst coffee known to man but being the major coffee addict that I am, I don't care where I get it as long as I'm getting it. As long as I have my coffee, people are safe to be around me

This has me pondering a new invention. A full faced helmet/thermos combo. It could have some sort of mouth piece for suckin up that ex-lax while u drive. Hell, it might keep your head warm on cold days. You could put.......like cold stuff in there when its hot. Much better than a freakin meat helmet doncha think??

Just get a camel pack, can you imagine the look on the coffee dude or dudettes face when you tell them to fill it up. Then you can sip it on the way to work.

Starbucks sells a great cup that seals. You can shake the thing without worry and Starbucks will give you a small discount on every cup.

That said... You all really need to find a better coffee than Starbucks. They're just the McDonalds of coffee houses really. They're generally more expensive than a better cup of coffee too.

http://www.barniescoffee.com

.......speaking of a good cup of coffee.

Starbucks is full of themselves. We sold some of our mall real estate to them and they courted our employees to assume positions once the deal had been completed. All the employee-friendly practices they spoke of during this process turned out to be hogwash.

I had some of our better people leave in frustration - too bad.

Oh, their coffee is horrible too.

I have a 2" thick piece of stiff closed cell foam that I shaped to fit in my top box. I took a hole saw to it, and a large DD coffee fits in it perfectly.

For those of you near Seattle. The Starbucks shareholder meeting is on the 19th.

They always give out a sweet goodie bag (about $40 worth of goods). In that bag the last few years is a cool shareholder themo-cup with a sealed lid.

I have never tried it on the bike, but I could see it fitting upright in a tank bag.

The best part is you get a discount at starbucks for using the cup.

Curiously enough, I just bought a travel mug that seals shut, and doesn't have a handle, so you can just throw it in your pocket or back pack.

sss

It's made by Contigo, and it really seals tight and is pretty well insulated.

Available at a lot of places on the net for about $30.

I have a small thermos that I bought while in Japan - everyone there has the damned things (though they usually have tea in them). It's just the right size for a single mug of coffee and it keeps things hot for over 12 hours (and it also the exact length of my Blast's tank bag).

I'm sure you could find something similar at a sporting goods store here in the States.

The cool thing about the Contigo is that you don't have to remove the top to get a drink.

You just put it to your lips, and press the blue button.
You could probably do it underway with a flip top helmet, I think.

It's also great in the car because it eliminates the ever present spills on the center console.

Natcherly I fill mine with coffee I make at home, instead of the Starbucks Capafrapachino.
