Dana, sorry bro but at least we can agree that it was an exciting game to watch. I've snowboarded and done a hare scrambles in that kind of cold and I can tell you it's brutal on any exposed skin. I don't know how those guys played with bare arms.

I think the Giants have a shot at beating the Patriots based on their last encounter. The Giants had them until they fell apart in the last quarter.

When it gets that cold, your muscles dont always respond normally. Favre was not throwing the ball as well as he usually does and it ended up costing them in O.T.

As far as the superbowl is concerned, the Patriots that the Giants saw the last game of the season will not be the same team they see in Glendale. Give the Giants credit for making it to the big show, but I see the Patriots doing whatever they want in that game.

>>reen bay got spanked<<

A 13-3 season ending with a 3 point overtime loss is NOT spanked.

Not too interested in the super bowl this year unless I want to celebrate a team going undefeated for an entire season.

Favre's last throw was into the wind, FWIW.

Ryan Grant was WIDE OPEN with a lot of room to run underneath when he threw it as well. He was trying to get too much, and not taking what the G-men were giving him.

I smell retirement.

The Giants are hot, and the Pats have been looking a little wore out. Brady himself said the pressure and the season have taken their toll on the team and they needed the week off. Question is, will it be enough?

>>>Favre's last throw was into the wind, FWIW.

Let me . . .as a totally neutral party help you with the FWIW.

FWIW = 0

In football for it to be worth something . . . one guy has to throw it (there are no rules or accepted conventions beyond simple law of physics regarding relative wind) and another guy has to catch it.

Other than some nicky-picky rules . . well, that's as complicated as it gets.

There is no "pardon me, we're considering giving you partial credit, can you provide some insight as to precisely why you dropped that?"

Sports is fun stuff.

Favre is on top of his game right now and looked better this season them many past. I he retires.... he retires. He is playing with the best team of his career. They are young and very talented. I think he wants to see a Super Bowl before retirement win or lose to go out on. He and his team mate had that chance last night and it wasn't to be. Hopefully next year will be different.

Well, there is partial credit. Theres gameplan, and theres execution. The most brilliant plan will fail if the execution fails, and the best execution will fall short if the gameplan is poor.

There is his decision to throw, which may or may not have been good, and his execution of the throw.

There are a lot of half points and credits assigned when monday morning quarterbacking, but as a sports fan, you knew that.

I was referring to his performance in the loss, and relating it to his future, which is speculation, not hoping the G-men will call Green Bay and forfeit their win based on the wind.

Dana, I agree with you to some extent. The team around him, and the coaches are all in place for a good few years ahead.

Favre has always said, if he felt his abilities were not good enough to win a championship, he would retire. Yesterday might have given him a glimpse of that. I dont know, Im just speculating.

I would like to see Rogers get some time in so the team can make sure he is at his peak or near it while the rest of the team is still at theirs. Favre has given this team a confidence and a winning attitude, and he was instrumental this year. But for the future of the team...

If he does he does..he will always be my hero.
He had a GREAT year despite the outcome. EVERY year there is speculation about this..and every news caster always makes a big deal of this after his last game by reading his emotions. Those chargers had the same look going off the field after losing against the patriots.

I applaud all the teams who made it into the playoffs. Anything can happen..it has been like over 30 years since a wildcard playoff team got to go to the bowl right.

Superbowl and the pro bowl is always the best to watch every year. It is not just about your favorite team and who you want to win.. it is the sport itself (a great one).}

Congrats to the Giants and their great fans! You folks do not get enough credit. Now go out there and win one for the NFC.

GO GIANTS!!! (Even though they beat my Packers)

Actually, I'd like to see the Pats win and go 19-0. Get some revenge for GB.

No Plexiglass running past the Pats bench yelling.."he can't cover me, he can't cover me".

Did anyone see the report of Tom Brady being seen this week with a cast on his foot?

I say it's a ploy to deceive the opponent into believing weakness.

Is Tom feigning injury?

Damnut, thanks for posting the youtube link. That is 'frickin hilarious! This is a must see for any Cowboy hater! I'm gonna pass it along to some of the obnoxious fans that I work with. Had to listen to their crap all season, but it was so nice to see them run out of hot air!

I'm going to NYC to watch the Superbowl. I just booked non-stop round trip tix from San Diego to JFK for $220(tax included)! Smoking deal.

My friends are having a humongo SB party on W96th St. Hopefully it won't be a somber return trip. I'll be the guy wearing the Chargers LT jersey.

Wish i had a grad to put down on the G-men. I think it is going to be different this time around. The Giants D and Manning are playing a lot better than the first time the played they Pats. The pats are not as hot as they were. I'm and Eagles fan and hope the Giants pull off the upset of the century.

Hey Paw would you like to wager on the game?

I'll make the same bet that I made last year with Buellina. If you win I get you a HD/Buell T-Shirt from my local dealer and ship it to you. If I win you do the same.

I'll take the Patriots.
