Notice that almost all of the feedback was 5 months ago. NOBODY reads this dork's site; unless we see a link here where all the smart people hang out At least they are motorcycles...

Erik Buell would have mounted her under the bike and farther forward. The way it is, that thing looks unstable as Hell.

This guy is the epitome of Narcissist, look at me, look at me. We have some on this board just like him. Self important expert with his only motivation to attract attention toward himself, preferable bad attention. For every example he posted the same manufacturer made an uglier example. As a Uly owner, I would say the Lightning is more attractive. The Magna he picked was typical for metric cruisers of the time. The last Magna was the odd looking on. I knew he was psychotic when he listed the SV but not the V-Strom. Everyone of the bikes listed above are uglier than any of the bikes listed. He states that he would not add the Suzi Rotary because of the advancement of technology. Hello, the XB trumps anything he has ever ridden for advancement of technology. The only thing more pathetic is the time I wasted reading his dribble, but then again that's just my opinion.

I guess that these days, anyone can broadcast their own views, and we're fortunate that we have the freedom, and the technology to do that. While I may not find all of the bikes that this guy singled out to be beautiful, the thousands of people who still ride those Magnas dont give a damn. As far as I'm concerned, though, this guy's inclusion of the CB400f completely destroyed any bit of credibility he may think he has. The local Honda dealership has a fine museum on premises, and sometimes I go there to pick up parts, and their pristine little 400f always blows me away, even among the factory race bikes and CBX's. The inclusion of the Lightning? Proof he's never seen one up close, let alone ridden one.

He didn't include the VStrom.

He has no credibility in my book.

I vote the VStrom the motorcycle styling equivalent to squatting naked over a mirror.

Nope. That's the problem with the VStrom. It's such a great bike, but they keep selling all that they make. There's no real rush for Suzy to update the appearance. If it didn't sell because of the looks, they'd change them.

Double edged sword, that.

That BMW K1 is a bike I used to lust after in my youth, and the Duc Paso is beautiful on the inside.

Omega frame, hub center steering, abysmal execution.

Similar tech, sexy as hell.

But, hey, my opinion is as good as anyone else's.

I have a StreetFighters magazine where a bloke makes a sweet 'fighter out of a GTS.

My vote goes for the early 80's Yamaha Vision: v-twin with no motor fins, huge radiator, large square headlight, angular gas tank styling.

Couldn't get a decent picture, because there aren't any! (joke)

The guys a kook. He just listed 10 out of, probably, only 11 bikes he's ever seen in his life. AND, got them in reverse order. He obviously isn't current with his info, either. He has yet to see the Suzuki B-King. Maybe has and likes it, which would point to some kind of psychosis.
All kidding aside, we all have our own taste. l doubt he has influenced any one with his opinion. We know what looks good, don't we? Buell rocks!!

Hey I had a Yamaha Vision. They had an idiosyncratic charm all their own...

He did pick some good choices, the Buell Lightning IS ugly, to lots of people.

Anyway, the author got us to talking, didn't he? That's about all one can expect of a journalistic-type column. There is no real right or wrong answers here after all.
Too bad there's no "ugly dyno"

Cycle magazine columnist once mentioned some of Yamaha's "Weird Harold" motorcycles, including 3 that I had owned. It's all in good fun.

While I wouldn't call the XB Lighting "ugly", it isn't mean to be a "beautiful" bike.
The styling is aggressive, minimalist, utilitarian, and mean.
It's meant to be BAD if that looks ugly to some then so be it.

It's a pit-bull not a poodle.

To me that Suzuki is UGLY, but to others, I'm sure, it's a the nicest looking bike on the road.

To each his own, but that is Ugly.

Is there is difference between "ugly" and "goofy" when it comes to motorcycle appearance?

Which would the following be?

BMW F650CS "Scarver"

BMW R1200C "Classic"

I hope y'all appreciate what I just went through to bring you the above photos via web-wide image searches. I really don't like nausea.
