another update on derrick he was scheduled to be operated on tonight to work on his shattered pelvis but they found a contusion on the cat scan so now they wait for nerology...
i sincerly want to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes that kind of support and friendship is why i love being a part of this community i see it all the time weather it be places to stay on your trip to offers of parts needed to get someone back on the road, gear for those who cant afford it. please dont change if everyone were the way most on this board are the world would be a better place |

Sorry, Just got back from a work related where I had very little net access, and when I did, BW was in the middle of its move..
I was leading the pack up through the park when the accident occured (following Gomo's advise, I could still see the riders behind me, And the guy behind him). Once that was no longer the case, We hung by the side of the road and waited.
I started out with the "advanced group" but got hung up at the toll booth on the bridge and lost them, along with a couple of others. We then followed Mikexlr for a bit and somehow caught up to the Peepers group. We ran into the people waiting for derrek at that citgo and decided to hang and wait for them. Figuring that I had a gps and Mike knows the area, I didn't like the idea of leaving our Out of state brothers somewhere where they might get even more lost.
We then wound up getting seperated again as some people took off to catch up to the group. So we took a nice ride back, eventually stopping at the overlook by the bridge.
We then started to follow the mapped out route hoping to run into the larger group. We wound up a gas station On rt17 , south of where rt 6 hits it. A couple of us needed gas and heard that there was someone who got separated from the group and he was going to come down and meet up with us. By this point it was after 2:30, and the last thing I head was that we where going to meet at The stadium a bit after 3. As we had already been separated from the group for a pretty good amount of time, I figured that we would have a difficult time catching up without driving really reckless. So I suggested that we go down a bit, then follow the signs back to bear mountain, go across the bridge, and all meet at the restaruant, so we could get back together with everyone. So we went down, got onto 17a, and the 106, and it appears everyone knows the rest. |

another update on derrick...his brain is continuing to bleed so all surgerys have been postponed as of yesterday i was thinking along with damnut about setting up some sort of fund raising to help his family out they are going to be out of work and in ny for at least a month and im sure they could use the help any ideas or suggestions and i hope to the admns that this is not a prob if it is im sorry just let me know |

BadWeB has a proud history of helping folks in need. [EDIT] speaking only for myself, [END EDIT] i'm ok with the overall concept of helping Derrick and his family via the board, but you'll need to contact Blake with any ideas that involve using BadWeB as a fundraising tool. it has to be done "right."

Get well soon Derrick.
I hate to hear of a rider down. It is hard to ride with a large group. It takes more concentration to ignore all the bikes around you than just riding by yourself (and yes I know that from personal experience). It is a sad state of affairs when some have to talk in legalese when other are hurt and need help. I hope the badweb community can get together and help Derrick and family. |

I finally got the knee cam footage done. Sorry for the delay. Unfortunatly the cam shifted and my jeans are hogging the screen but i managed to salvage a little. The footage is mostly the roads between rte 301 and 9. The riders are bjorn_buell,lvnlo,dustin-not on board but part of NH crew, and myself. click on the link below

last i heard he was awake and semi aware of what is going on. he doesn't remember the accident. it looks like he will keep his foot and have the ability to walk and run again, not full mobility but atleast some use. all surgerys still postponed till the bleeding stops. as i find out more i'll let everyone know.
