I had a HJC Modular helmet, and last night, a small piece of plastic cracked in half, and now one side of the chin is disconnected from the helmet. The part looks easily replaced, but to re-bolt it back in, I'll have to pull out the glued in styrofome. Since the helmet was starting to show some signs or wear in other places too, I'm thinking it's time to replace it. (Even though is only about a year old, and it wasn't cheap!) I saw these at the International Motorcycle Show. They were absolutely awesome. Fit was perfect for me. The Modular design was GREAT! Great vents. Air shields around the chin bar to stop wind. Cool as hell internal sun shield! Comes with a kit to turn it into a 3/4 helmet. Caberg Justissimo GT   
As far as modulars go, it's not too expensive either. $285 Shipped. | ||

I'd be interested in what you think of the wind noise on your new helmet. I have the HJC CL-Max. I really like the flip up style but the wind noise is a bit excessive on it. Leaned over into the wind on the Buell it isn't bad but with the more upright position on the ST1300 it is very noisy, especially with the visor down. | ||

Mikef5000, that has been one of the many problems know with the HCJ design. It pops open at highway speeds when you look sideways because the locking device is not very good.. There is a website that gives reviews and helmets and peoples real input on them.http://www.webbikeworld.com/Reviewed-motorcycle-pr oducts/hjc/symax/ This website also have a review on your Caberg Justissimo that you are look at.. If you are going to buy any new flip up design helmet non are going to be as good as a full face helmet. How ever the very best helmet as of today on the market for a flip up helmet is going to be Shoei Syncrotec. Yes it is more money but Shoei is hands down the best helmet on the market. I have personally crashed on two different Shoei and still look like a movie star..lol One hitting my head on a mile marker and surfing the road on my head..the other getting rear ended by the man and getting push in from of his car with me, my bike, than car, as my head is bouncing and skipping of the road for a few hunderd feet. Oh yeah..the other was getting getting hit by the Excersion. Head hitting side of the rear quarter panel first, as my my break lever digs into the side of the car, than hitting the road at I went down..So see helmets do save lives...Funny all were not my fault either..For the love of god get off your cell phones. 2 of my wrecks where because of dick heads on cell phones...I hate...HATE..cell phones.. Also have been using the HJC AC-10 for a few years too. Its ok. But quality is not like Shoei.. Hopes this helps anyone looking into helmets... | ||

My visor flipped up everytime I looked to the side on the freway too now that you mention it. But actually what broke is the chin bar attatchment point, not the visor. | ||

That is a good-looking modular helmet! I don't know how I missed it on WebBikeWorld, but they had a positive review. I wish there were someplace local for me to try it on as I might be interested in replacing my HJC AC-10. Where do you plan to purchase this helmet? The only online place I have found that sells the Caberb is Helmet Harbor; they have it for $280-300 depending on color and size. If you do decide to get it, I'll at least be looking forward to your real-world review!  | ||

I saw them at the Int. motorcycle show, and got a chance to try them on and really get a feel for them. I'm 90% sure the medium fit me perfect, but now I'm reading reviews saying to go one size larger than your norm... so I'm second guessing myself. The feel and quality seemed great at the show. The chin bar raised and lowered so smoothly and spring loaded like (Don't know if it really is spring loaded, but it sure feels like it). No other modular helmet I can find feels as good as this one. I've found a couple places online that sell them. For the Titanium color I want, they're all about 275-285 and free shipping. | ||

Just bought a Simpson Street Bandit. First new ff in twenty years. The fit is good for a new helmet. Haven't really had it on long enough to tell if I'm gonna like it or just go back to my Simpson Shorty brain scab. Maybe just use the hh on hot days and light traffic situations. Looked at the flip-ups and suspected noise issues from the many moving parts. A friend's got one and said it's kinda noisy but great for firin' up a smoke at a light. | ||

I bought my dad a HD/KBC with the flip-up chin. A piece in one of the mechanisms broke. The HD dealer ended up shipping the helmet to KBC (no receipt). KBC sent my dad a brand new helmet. Now that's customer service! | ||

You can't go wrong with the Caberg. I have had my Justy for almost two years already. No problems whatsoever. And the flip down tinted inner shield is the bomb. Easily comes apart without tools for cleaning, and even convertible to a 3/4 helmet. The venting on it is great, I have had very little issue with it fogging, and I ride in some pretty damn cold weather (18 degreed Fahrenheit in the a.m. is my coldest day leaving the house) | ||

I have a Nolan, your helmet looks pretty cool. My Nolan is noisy, but it is easy to open and close, I like the speakers/mike that is made for this helmet, and like the tinted shade I can flip down while riding. Your helmet seems like it would meet all of my requirements except for the speaker/mike thing. Other than that it looks killer. | ||

I haven't seen a Caberg - but every other flip front helmet I've tried has been louder than a Rugby team in a Brothel. I'd be wanting to try one first. | ||

The Schuberth C2 is remarkably quiet, and very well ventilated, too. The problem is finding someone who sells them in the States. They used to be carried by Intersports Fashions (same people that carried Hein Gericke and First Gear), but when they got bought out their distribution channel fell apart. I bought my C2 at BMW of Daytona at last year's Biketoberfest. I don't recall seeing them sold anywhere else I've looked. It's a GREAT helmet, and 100% better than the Concept helmet it replaces. | ||

I have a Jarow MONO X2 which is now call Caberg Justissimo. I like the helmet very much. It is completely waterproof. Doesn't seem to fog very quickly in cooler weather. Is quiet with a quick latch. The company offers other size cheek pads to customize for a better fit if needed. It has performed very well for the last three years. My only change would be a little larger viewing area | ||

I have a Nolan also, and a Shoei, and a Arai, and a KBC Harley helmet. I really like the concept of the Nolan, I guess it's called modular. I find it extremely warm compared to my other helmets. I tried the Caberg Solo 104, which is the full face version of the Justissimo. It seemed like a pretty well made helmet, and the double visor thing was real cool, but...it did not fit my head correctly. I have more of an oval head and it is made for a more round head. I would try one on first, or order it from a company with a good return policy. | ||

WOW, that IS a nice helmet! Looks like its got all the features of the new (unreleased, actually) Scorpion EXO-1000, but it's modular, and for the same cost! Ima hafta take a better look at those! ~SM | ||

I tried one on earlier this year and really liked it. As with most things I want, this purchase will have to wait for the next pay check (then the next, then maybe the next) as other things keep getting in the way. Right now I'm using my crappy old helmet. I will definately be getting it before July is up, so I have it for Sturgis. I'll let you guys know what I think when I eventually do get it. | ||

Mike, where did you find it online? I'm seriously looking at this thing as well, but I've only been able to find it through classiccruiser.com. It'd be SO nice to try it on first. I can't wear ANY Fulmers because of the way they fit (even XXL crushes my temples!)... I bought a Caberg from Motorcycle Closeouts. They will match prices if you find a better price, and their service is good, and you can return it for a credit if (like me) it doesn't fit my head shape correctly. | ||

I googled it and found 2 smaller (cheaper) stores with it (classiccruiser being one of them). If your willing to pay $20 more for it to get it from a larger store, Aerostitch.com sells them. | ||

Is there a difference between the Justissimo and the Justissimo GT? Some sites don't mention the GT, but I can't see a difference in the pics. ~SM | ||

I just bought one and I love it, mainly because of the internal tinted visor. I've been using sunglasses and it's a lot more convenient. It's not nearly as noisy the Nolan. | ||

I just ordered mine. Decided I better get it sooner rather than later, so I have time to swap it out if the size is not correct. I also wore my old helmet on a decent length (a bit over 300 miles) ride yesterday, and got absolutely fed up with it. The paddings all smashed so it moves all around on my head, and the styrophome presses into my forhead, and it's louder than hell! Can't wait for the new helmet to arrive! | ||

Yes. The GT is their 2007 Model and there were a few changes made aesthetically and with the venting. I picked one up a couple months ago (ordered from overseas) and it's an excellent helmet. This is the first modular I've owned, and the wind noise is exponentially louder than any of the full-face helmets I had previously owned. I wear earplugs though, so wind noise doesn't bother me. It's extremely comfortable and well vented. I've worn it in 90+ degrees and also through heavy downpours. No leaking through the visor at all. The inner visor is a Godsend as I work 3rd shift. I can ride with it up at night, and down when I go home. No more carrying an extra visor to work with me. yay! The inner visor is darker than a smoke visor, but not as dark as a dark smoke visor. (In case any one cared) Definitely a top quality helmet though. You wouldn't regret buying one. | ||

Apparently these things are all on national backorder. I've called 6 different stores, the only one I've found in my size is this one:  I just wanted silver, but this might have to do. It looks cool, but flat black is going to get HOT in the sun. None of the stores can get more in until September when the new model (The GT) comes out. | ||
