Al and Joanne helped build four X1s for the movie and it is a super cool story. American Sport Bike to the rescue! I suspect Al will be showing up here shortly to share this tale of international intrigue. Al?

looks like that exhaust really helped with the ground clearance... ponderous. If the back tray of the XB weren't plastic and melt like chocolate... that would be nice way to get some more air under my CityX. I would sacrifice Mass centralization for ground clearance (sorry Erik)

My kids have been enjoying mine. I was waiting until they got bored of it before I retire it to my desk at work... they are still playing with it.

Nice job on the X1 Al! That looks great!

I picked one up last week for my Buell collection. It's currently on a shelf in my office (in it's original packaging). It's sitting with my Avon S1 diecast and Hot Wheels S3.

They built six of them for the movie (acquired and built in Australia), I was told by the guy I was working with on the bikes that 5 of the 6 survived the filming intact. It'd be cool to score one of them, but they haven't surfaced yet.

They built the first one as a proof of concept in ONE WEEK start to finish, complete with custom exhaust, oil tank, and a BUNCH of American Sport Bike parts.

The little toy model is cool, it has amazing ripcord speed, after all. But no one told the toy designer that there is only one shock absorber under the bike. It has one on both sides.

Wow, that must be the only Buell toy ever made! I've been looking for a little replica forever for my desk... maybe I should pick one up? Too bad it doesn't have the same realistic detail that all the Maisto bikes do.

Nope....

Hot Wheels had an S3 in one of their motorcycle mutli-packs.

There are also a few die cast toys out there. Mostly some XB models that I've seen on ebay. I also have a limited edition diecast Avon promotional bike.

Correct, that is one bike. I really don't know much about it. I bought mine 4 years ago. To be honest, I don't even remember the name of the company. I looked at mine but there aren't any manufacturing markings.

OK Al, Chase, After slugging through the mud tonite and finding an Unusually Firm Object (ie I hit something & and hard) I need more ground clearance on my CityX. What is that exhaust on the tuber from the movie>? Is it a available for purchase or am I going to have to fab something up? I would do the XR750 exhaust but that would melt my luggage that I carry... Thanks for your help, damn this lil bike is costing me a lot of extra time and money ....
