Here's a twist, unless your bloodline is one hundred percent Indian then you are most likely a product of an immigrant.... And none of us are speaking Indian . . . so I'll start it off. . . both Chicago and Milwaukee had for years Polish Lnaguage Daily newspapers (I believe Chicago still does) -- I find it odd that no one is pounding the Poles go home drum (at least, not that I can hear) there is also a very large, and growing, Russian community in many mid-west cities -- ditto on the lack of drums there ah well, I spose I just don't understand -- thank goodness for small blessings, yes? Okay I finally have a legitimate rant regarding the Mexican invasion. I went to Benehanas (Japanese restaraunt) and my table chef was MEXICAN!!! The SOB did not even have a real floor show. Best he could do was toss a shrimp up in the air and chase it down with his shirt pocket. I was and am still pissed off. I just finished writing a host of complaints to Benehana corporate. | ||

I say send them all home, who needs them, except the ones that have good restaurants, better bars, are masons or carpenters. Dont send home the cleaning ladys or the ditch diggers, i need them during the summer. Dont send home the greek guy down the street, he owns a great little grocery store, hes cheep to, i would have said send home the eye talians, but theres this place on taylor that makes fantastic Italian ice, so they can stay. I need the ukranians, cause she cuts my hair, cheep also. Russian helped my Pops on his house, so they can stay. Good freind is native american, so since hes my freind he can stay So that settles it, kick out the eskimos and the canadians, maybe even a few vikings, there worthless(they can go to Valhala) How do we round these people up?? Best he could do was toss a shrimp up in the air and chase it down with his shirt pocket Just so i am clear, its obvious that the Mexican fellow forced his way into the job, with little to no training, its amazing what one can do when there is no boss present I understand being pissed, but why would you not be pissed at his boss, the guy who hired him, who might have been a jap fellow, its not the mexicans fault that he strived to get out of the back to get a raise in pay, its his bosses fault for not training him, or putting him out on the floor a bit early However i did get a chuckle when i made a mental image of a mexican guy in a sombrero working at benehanas R | ||

My plumbers who are not the quickest to begin with are taking 2-3 hrs to navigate through "Diplolock" to jobsites.I still would not trade my work location for anywhere else and I love this, the greatest city on Sol 3 but this "Capitol of the World" thing can wear thin sometimes! | ||

You all do know of course, that even the so-called "native Americans" had ancestors that came over from somewhere else. Either Bering Strait, or across from Easter Island, or both. He tells me of a great, great grandmother that passed away when he was a kid in the late 40's. She apparently lived in Chicago for more than 50 years without ever learning to speak English... she only spoke Polish and a dialect spoken in Lithuania. She also spoke Yiddish and knew a little Hungarian. She knew two more languages than most of the people living in the US, just not English. She was able to thrive in the US and her family turned out alright (so far, it seems). | ||

I can not blame anyone for walking out of Mexico and trying for a better life. If I were uneducated and suppressed by the Mexican goverment I also would also walk for the border. Despite that little fact we have immigration laws for a reason. Those that support doing nothing about the influx of illegals at our borders are freaking idiots. Or smart people with an agenda.... When Japanese restaraunts start hiring them instead of talented Japanese chefs it bums me out. Every single industry than can save a buck hires the cheapest labor possible these days. It is short sighted to say the least. STUPID STUPID STUPID! I plan on retireing in Central or South America and I will learn the laungage before making the move. I say deport every damm non english class enrolled immigrant! The next time I have to "press one for English" on my telephone something is going to die. | ||

I am glad to see that the Badweb and indeed most United States citizens aren't as stupid and ignorant as some have demonstrated. I emigrated here from Canada. Hell, I don't really think I'm 100% legal, as I never did quite show up for my citizenship test exactly. But I've been here for a lot longer than I lived in Canada. I registered for selective service in 1980, pay more taxes than 80% of Americans and made two kids who are American citizens. Go ahead deport me, Big whoops, you'd be sending me to Canada! From Winnipeg, I won't even have to cross water to get back. I do have one complaint though. I went to a Sonic down here once and they were playing this gawd awful redneck music, Kenny Cheesly or something like that. Isn't there somewhere we can send them? I'll never eat at that restaurant again. That and the chili dog that passed clean through me faster than light...And that's all I got to say about that. | ||

she only spoke Polish and a dialect spoken in Lithuania This may sound dumb, but wouldnt that make it Lithuanian, my guess is its lowland Lithuanian Any idea as the where she lived, i would guess she was from the market park part of chicago It was at one point the only lithuanian part of chicago, and it had a population larger than Vilnus, thats all changed now, but the church is still there along with a few members only clubs(there used to be bars) R | ||

Back to the subject at hand I must admit, if the eskimos are taking there pies, than it would be a regretable move on my part to ask them to leave as for the canadians, while i am not a fan of canadian wiskey, i am a fan of klodike bars(i can only assume the are from the klodike teritories), so the canadians are hear by re welcomed, all be it with closed arms So who will we round up....... There are the irish, but since my grandmas madien name is Paterson, well thats out, the Germans were given a look, but Octoberfest is so much fun, by the way it starts in september, so there in Colombians were considered, but the women are spectacular and freindly(yes i have been there) There are the guats, but there coffe is great, plus my Dad makes money off them so they can stay I still say the vikings should leave, and anybody who considers themself a viking should be ask to depart, i know of one, but i will wait till he shows up and ask him to leave, i suspect he will say no, but i must try There are the French, my boss is french, and i hate french wine, so for me its kinda a win win, but i suspect some one will tell me where i went astray there but for the time being will all the vikings and french depart, unless i it is pointed out, there contribution or a reason for staying R | ||
