Wileecoyote! I haven't seen you post up in years. The WV Buell Rally is next weekend August 12-14th. It has grown a little since the last time you were there. We have a wedding happening this year. A couple that has been coming for the last few years thought it would be a good time to tie the knot. The wedding and eats will be happening Saturday afternoon to early evening. THEN! Saturday night I think a bunch of us are going to ride to the Tyler County Speedway to see some dirty dirt racing. Hope you can make it! Along with anyone else reading this post. |

Brought it to the dealership to have the crank seal looked at and the said when they started it it made a god awful noise in the primary area. They opened it to find the rotor/stator granaded in the case. Damn. |

Installed a new primary chain on the S2 today, installed the heavy duty adjuster 40,000 miles ago and still looks good, pulled the trans out just for a look and all was good. |

I finally got the Westwind on the dyno. She has a "Zipper 1200" timing cover, otherwise looks stock... Not stock tho, she is making 80hp and 76lb-ft. Fueling is spot-on at idle and cruising but a bit fat on WOT. All that I need to do now is adjust the lifters as they're a tad on the noisy side. I think I have a potential daily rider. Z |

Did the jet hot coated header not fit well enough to transfer? That wrecked S1/M2 must have been a beautiful bike before it got stuffed. |

Thanks guys, my direct speed dial to 1-800 Jolly was used quite often in fact he talked me into doing it so I had to push the 2 Shovelheads aside. I have other plans for the header, it is a KOOKS unit. I have wanted to build the bike for my daughter & I to ride again. That was the plan all along. Depends what you are looking for in parts, I have an S1W I need to keep alive. Drop me a pm. (Message edited by k12pilot on August 15, 2016) |

Picked it up from the shop. Laundry list totaling 1000 of parts thrown at it. Got a pleasant surprise as they switched it to the factory gp shift pattern....could not find neutral between 5-4 get no matter how much I tried. Now to source a new rear shock and get this new mikuni dialed in |

"Got a pleasant surprise as they switched it to the factory gp shift pattern" So they put the knuckle on backwards? |

Thought the knuckle was designed to go both ways on the 2001 and later x1? |

I'm guessing he is implying that if they made it GP shift, they probably beat the shit out of it on the test ride. |

I don't know if they beat on it, but shouldn't somebody have noticed the reverse shifting? I'd bet no one test rode to check their work. Wonder what else got missed? Kevin |
