what is the best way to raise m2 handlebars say an inch?
Risers?
Blast bars?
S3t bars?

Risers are more convenient to install, but Blast/S3T bars can sometimes be found for less. I had to reroute the clutch cable to the other side of the steering stem, as I recall.
Some years of S3T bars are exactly like Blast, but some have a 1" width difference in the lower bar clamp area. Can't seem to differentiate by the stamped #, and some seem to not be stamped.

I ordered the risers 1in from Al.
Hoping the cables all make it.
The ride to CO did me in.

Your cables will reach. I installed 1 " riser on my 2002 M2 no promblems

How do the risers affect the fly screen/instrument fit? It looks to me like the instruments will jut above the screen.

I have risers and it does put the instrument dash at the top of the screen at the center and just above on the sides. I have thought about switching the left and right headlight brackets so they point up and raise the headlight and fly screen. One of these days I'll try it.

That headlight switch is an interesting idea. I see I didn't mention I switched handlebars to Blast size. I only bought the risers, didn't use them.

The risers did rise the instruments out of line with the stock flyscreen but I have Givi windshield. The 1 in rise made much more comfortable to ride long distance. Well in a parking lot I leaned over and went over slowly and now the bars are bent. So s3t bars are coming.
