heres the one i purchased from Red93Stang- Very nice quality and very reasonable priced. This was one of his first, so as i said above, i had to make an insert to "remove" the counterbore for my updated front isolator and get a longer bolt. I believe Red93stang updated it to work with the new isolator now.

and here is the difference between the new (installed) and old style front isolator.

You can see the piece standing proud on the old one and therefore the need for the counterbore in the brace.

Loren I wouldn't be making it and putting it on to make the isolator last longer. I am looking for better handling or more vibration control.

I feel it made vibration worse.

Just my experience with it.

Using that Stenzel part for more than 50tsd Kilometers,
I never felt any issues regarding vibrations or handling differences.

Thanks for the pics Marc. I wonder if Redstang would make more of them?? Then I wouldn't have to get my machinist to make them? Not looking to make anything off of them anyway just want one or two of them and Iam sure others would like to try it out as well.

Curious...why couldn't you just use a couple of heim joints and a piece of threaded rod? Like the OEM engine mounts?

I would think with the Hiem joint it will still allow the movement back and forth plus the thin nature would allow twisting? Good idea

I don't think it would allow back and forth any more than the stock ones allow side to side. They're cheap enough...I'm going to give it a shot.

Though I may attach it to the frame bolt, and not the one that hangs the engine. We'll see.

Jeff, do you have a price point yet and any word if he will be able to do the frame braces?

David not yet. Yes he can do them. Need a measurement from center hole to center hole. Once I get that then I will have one made. Get price point etc. Will keep everyone posted.

We have them in CAD form and have had the part white light scanned. We had them for the updated and old style mounts. The problem we had was the supplier flaked out and was inconsistent in the final product. We made a short run of these and haven't tried to source another supplier. Most machinist or suppliers don't want to just make a 20 run part. It's possible but as with anything the more you order the cheaper they get.

My machinist is really good and he will make a limited or short run.

Jeff, I am interested. Let me know how you progress on this. Have the original front isolator (that still looks good). Not understanding if I have to change that to the newer version to make this work?

I bored the update mount to use the larger early style bolt as i could not trust my motor & gearbox hanging from that skinny little bolt
50,000 on no problem riding over rough Australian roads.
how many miles is the most anyone has done using the skinny update bolt?

I'm in the home made stenzel brace club.

The reason was snapping front motor mount bolts.

~45k miles with no bolt breakage and less vibes.
