If it's an S1, it has had its frame swapped for that of an M2.

So someone has added inverted forks and altered the rear frame section for an S1 tail?

To me, the tail section and seat look like the narrow M2 tail and seat. Never seen an S1 seat quite that LOOOOONG...

Or else it's the S1L (Limo) seat that never was.

M2 frame with peg risers. Anyone can bolt on upside down forks and the proper triples.

M2 into S1/S1W 'clones' - with tail section metalwork - is, errr...was, not that uncommon however!

Yes M2 with S1 tail and inverted forks also has plates to relocate foot pegs

X1devil, you've got one of the nicest tube-framed Buells out there. Very tastefully done and definitely a keeper. I bet you get a lot of looks riding that thing on the autobahn.

Thank You ,Kalali.
She turned from orange to red,
She's such a modest Lady....
Not build for the Autobahn, she likes curvy country roads.

The trippels are the stock ones, bored out for the
bigger tubes,grinded and polished.

Thats an S1 with a messed up dash over the tube header i would highly question it if his title says M2 as the numbers wont match

That looks like an S1 to me too. Look at the position of the shifter and foot pegs. M2's shifter toe peg is in the middle of the clutch inspection cover. This one is where an S1 or X1's toe peg would be. The foot pegs are an appropriate distance from the shifter, so I'm pretty sure that's an S1. I don't see any rear sets on it.

my eye sight is kinda going with age and looking at low resolution photos doesnt always work the best for me (disclaimer!)

it appears there is more going on with that bike than stated..

Id say its an S1 as well - at least the frame...

it does appear to be a thunderstorm motor (at least heads painted black or?)

the top tree appears to have bolt in risers instead of cast in risers, a 98 or 99 and up would have had cast in lower saddle (risers).

the top bar clamp/gauge mount appears to be a lower rise one from an X1

cant tell for sure but it looks like the forks have WP stamped in the lower so that means they are pre 99 forks from WP instead of Showas....

it appears to be missing the underseat sub support (held in place with 2 bolts)

fuel tank vent looks like the old pre recall unit, so at least the fuel tank if not other items have not met recalls.

just a few random observations....

none of this would be a show stopper if it was all accurately described

The ad is funny in that he says it will be easy to get parts for now that Buell is back in business. As a Buell/EBR dealer I can tell everyone that I CANNOT get any parts for tube frame Buells from EBR. So EBR being in business has done nothing to improve the parts situation for tube frame bikes unfortunately.
