Hello I am considering putting an s series fairing on my X1 but I have only seen 1 picture of this mod. How different are the mounts? I work in a machine shop so I can modify if needed.. I want a windshield to direct the air out of my face.
Also looking to purchase a good shape fairing headlight and windshield for a decent price , I will paint it to match.

By "S", do you mean from an S1?

Have you tried a full coverage helmet?

I asked this question about a week or so ago about my S1, and evidently, being that you have an X1, then an S3 fairing will bolt on.

Correct-a-mundo!

The X1 has provisions on the head tube of it's frame (that are different from what's on the M2 and S3)
to mount the S3 fariing bracket,

The S1 and X1 will swap you will need to slightly bend the mounts and change the dash as its hump is on the other side but I think you are looking at an S2 or S3 cause the S1 is not moving wind out of the way!!!!
I would go forxa firebolt!

that is such a pretty x1 !
But an S3 fairing on it would look good too.
Might look better with the Chin Fairing too.

I was thinking an S3 fairing the rounded one with like is being parted out in the for sale section. I want the fairing off of Jollie's bike but he won't give it to me.

I have two different full face helmets and an all day ride makes my neck hurt . Mostly looks and function are my goals .
What does the Fire bolt fairing look like??

The S3 fairing doesn't get rid of the wind off your face or it doesn't on mine including when I put the taller screen on it.

It'd be easier to tuck in behind tho if you crouched down.

I'd suggest take one for a ride first and see how it feels.

Dunno on a curved one Arizona. The one I bought was just taller and it didn't make much difference other than look better because it was dark.

If you could get one with a curved lip it may do the trick

If the S3 fairing is anything like the S2 fairing, I ask, how tall are you? Behind the screen on the S2, I'm completely comfortable in the 80-100mph range. I feel like I could darn near smoke a cigarette! All compared to my S1, mind you.

I have an S3 fairing on my Cyclone, (check out my profile). I'm 6'5" and 120kg so I sort of hang out all over the place however the fairing with the Zero Gravity screen does help a lot. I really notice it when I get off the 2001 Cyclone back to the 97 Cyclone

the actual "fairing" part could be either S2 or S3, they look extremely similar, BUT the subframe that connects it to the main frame is S3, since as stated above, the S2 subframe is completely different.

I like it too by the way...

It's an S3 fairing.

Similar to - yet different than - an S2,
