I'd like to clean up the looks a bit of the M2. Am going to start removing plastic and was wondering what brand sprocket covers you have all switched to? And, is there any downside to just removing the plastic guard and leave the original bracket there?
Thanks

Hey.
I'm only using the bracket, that's it.
Before I changed to that Wilbers shock ,which needs a special bracket,I've been happy with the stock bracket for more than two years.
Looks good to me and I can see no disadvantage as long as you are not going to wear any 70's stiled flare on your bike.

I've got the Crossroads brace and pulley cover. PM me for a picture - I can't shrink it enough to post here.

After ripping a pant leg (they were straight leg not bell bottoms!) and loosing a shoe lace, I went back to the stock cover.

I've found nothing in 8 years that looked any good from the aftermarket.

For the majority they're either too gimmicky or overdone in my opinion.

I'd like a carbon fiber cover.

Never understood why they left the pulley cover and rear fender as plastic. Seems cheap and unfinished to me. I'm a big fan of the polished look. The drawback with the Banke is the leftover bolt hole in the upper right I need to cap off.

I removed the plastic cover, and left the stock brace, and painted the engine pulley. I think it looks great.

I got the Air Tech fiberglass sprocket cover, it's smooth looking, and meets up with the standard cam case better. But it didn't fit my Storz brace, so I'm not using it after all. I wound up just painting my black cover partially, it looks better I think. See my profile for the picture. Used H-D engine case paint ($18), and it matches the engine exactly.
