The horn does not work. It measures 0 Ohms resistance across the two connectors (connectors off). Does that sound like a dead horn? Internal short maybe? And shouldn't I see 12V on the two connectors if I push the switch with the ignition on? I don't, I wondering if I have bad switch or relay. My service manual won't get here until next week... RE - SHORT HORN PROBLEM Have you lubed you're Horn button? sounds like a short in the Horn to me. have you checked for power supply to horn button? eze | ||

Thanks for the eBay link. I tested my horn with a 9V battery and it makes a little noise. But I get nothing when I press the switch. I'm going to trouble shoot the switch and wiring now as I now think the horn is okay. I was sort of getting ready for better weather (I'm in Maine) and waiting for my service manual. Its hard to be patient! | ||

Lifted the tank, reseated the connector at the front right side, and the horn worked. Damn! That might be the loudest stock motorcycle horn I've ever heard. It startled me. |
