Perhaps, but that article not quoting any actual people, but "sources close to" aka rumors spread for a Purpose, may be just bull. Or true. How can you tell? It's opinion " journalism ". Or pushing a narrative. ( the polite way to say planting lies ) Don't get me wrong. Not a Trumpista. But if he runs against Kackling Kamala*, or Paternity Pete, or Just Joe*, I'll vote for the lesser evil, as I see it. Afaik, Trump isn't owned by the CCP. The Media love/hate him. ( love the rating$, hate the Outsider ) And as much as I want to replace the Establishment Republicans, I don't want even then to be replaced by Establishment Democrats, or worse, the Democratic Socialists who are a growing cancer. So, it's not illegal. Just unwise given the language of the constitution, and the fact the GOP will need Florida's electoral votes. I didn't know about this, thanks for bringing it up. As a huge supporter of the US Constitution, and someone who doesn't want radical changes to it, I think this bit a law should be amended. | ||

Kari Lake couldn't get a large majority to vote for her in Arizona. She may have gotten screwed, but it shouldn't have been close. She should have won in a walk. I like her, but don't think she is a winnable candidate. I LOVE Owens. Would vote for her hands down. If going all Lady GOP ticket in 2028, I'd prefer Owens/Noem. | ||

Owens/Noem sounds good to me! Qualified? We really could use a definition on that. By seniority in corruption, Joe* or Hillary are the Peak. Really obvious. By years on the government payroll, Joe* has some competition, but few I'd like to hire as Prez, myself. In contrast, Trump has 4 years and while he admitted to bribing Hillary, ( with zero reaction or mention in Party Media ) multiple investigations show he is at best a minor leaguer at Turning bribes into great wealth for his benefactors. ( ambassador gig for donating a lot ) And nothing like Hillary's $45 million for approval of Uranium One deal, or Joe* and Ukranian energy, Chinese Communist Party cash, etc. or Barry's billion$ in bribes. What makes someone "Qualified" varies depending on one's opinion. I thought Obama was unqualified, but damn if he wasn't real good at corruption, manipulation and intimidation. He's a walking RICO Case that gets off scott free. As do most Democrats. I shy away from extreme prejudice measures as long as the Constitution is still in play. If that document is discarded, then it's all fair in love and civil war, but until then I'll play by the rules. | ||

"Qualified" for President means being able to faithfully follow the script IN THE CONSTITUTION, for the Office of President, as well as Leader Of The Nation (also as described and created in the founding documents), and in the role of Commander In Chief of the US Military. THAT, is a "qualified" President. Someone who knows, understands, and follows the Constitution. Period. | ||

The constitution states that the qualifications are that the president be a natural born citizen and at least 35 years of age. Now, when they take the oath to support and defend, and then do not, that is when I take issue. I believe the oath includes support, defend, and abide by the laws of....in the real world, if you can't follow the job description you get FIRED. | ||

Yeah, but the constitution does not iterate the requirements to do the job, only to obtain the job. From there it is their oath that binds them to the constraints of the constitution. When they violate that oath, they need to be removed. | ||

The whole thing is a scam. Trump did nothing wrong; but if they make it an issue, he can be counted on to react and say things that will make him look bad to the public. It's also a distraction tactic; if everybody is looking at Trump paying off a hooker (Porn Star) to keep her mouth shut, then nobody is looking at the Biden Crime Family raking in over 3 Million bucks from Communist Chinese payoffs. If there's any crime in The Bad Orange Man paying off an alleged lover/blackmailer, it's IF he used campaign donations to pay her. Like Hillary did, and was fined. I'm comfortable in being open about not liking Trump, haven't liked him Ever. But golly gee, he gets credit for having enemies worthy of prison for their evil and law breaking. The former, justly fired, FBI scum Comey, who violated the law many times, illegally "leaking" political lies to gain Party advantages. & refused to further investigate Hillary, AFTER he bluntly said the FBI had evidence she committed 33,000 felony counts of destruction of evidence and government documents. ( many top secret ) Erased from her illegal private E mail server, allegedly hacked by the Russians, Chinese, Israelis, Arabs, and iirc, the Brits. Oh, and lied under oath. Repeatedly. And Bragg, sponsored by Soros to screw law abiding New Yorkers, by triggering a massive crime wave. ( a multi State, City, and Country open plan by the Soros Hydra of interlinked operations/cutouts ) Not to mention the Republican Establishment Deep Staters, the Klan Party, Vladimir Putin, and a lot of people you know who went completely deranged these last 8 years, influenced by the Same Media that promoted, AND promotes him TODAY ( see The View, better, don't. ) as Republican Candidate, because they believe he would Lose. ( and said so! ) Before you label me as a victim of TDS, I did like his peace efforts, his economic success, the tremendous success in raising the average income of the Klan Party Oppressed victims, and Energy Independence! Less thrilled when he listened to the Wrong Experts on Covid and clearing the Swamp. Big fails in both. The latter, especially, as that WAS His Promise. And we all pay for that failure, today. Bottom line, personalities of celebrity politicians aside, I do think most of US here agree on the basic idea of human individual rights, freedom to ride our motorcycle, freedom to think & speak our minds, and equal justice for All. The American Dream. |
