What we have here, is a failure to communicate!

I didn't pick on AOC for twitting that has stoves ( like hers ) cause mental retardation. Because that's mean. And a heck of a self own.

But it's obvious that the Evil Rich Open Contempt Conspiracy is dedicated to micromanage everything. Coordinated chorus. Full court press.

And I loved the new insult. Gascucks.

The global elite seem to be concerned not with fossil fuel use, but that the world’s peasants will use use enough of it to impinge upon their own usage.

I have a question:
Assuming that open flame gas stoves cause these issues, what about open flame gas furnaces?
Same building, same occupants....
Or is that phase II?

No that's this phase. No new construction with natural gas heat or access. Retrofit by Decree is phase 2.

Big money in selling electric stoves to everybody at gunpoint with the government paying to maximize profits with your taxes, poor people will get a discount but you will pay the difference in taxes, and big kickbacks to the usual. That's cynical but true. Incomplete & accurate.

Some are of the opinion that it's all control by the self appointed elite of the WEF and etc. "you exceeded your power allotment" "Your social credit score isn't high enough to raise your thermostat" "You drove 2 miles out of your allotted range, and now lights out are 7:49" "Little Johnny used your cooking ration to play video games, so..."

If it isn't there's no rational reason I can see.

Not gas stoves, per se, hypothermia.

https://amgreatness.com/2023/01/13/so-wrong-so-lon g/

I read herr doktor Ehlich's books on population when they came out. The 1968 book was a fixture of the Eco-Communist movement next to Carson's Silent Spring. During the Vietnam War protests it was waved besides Mao's Little Red Book by revolutionaries.

The 1977 book was part of the movement of Global Cooling Panic, and you might trace the roots of genocide, Chinese Style, to it. Even in '77 you absolutely were not to mention Hitler's Final Solution! Those people who did back then while arguing against herr doktor Ehrlich were subject to ridicule.

See Godwin's Law & reductio ad Hitlerum...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reductio_ad_Hitler um

( as I myself have done here by calling the bug scientist "herr doktor" but I claim ironic and self referential humor, albeit in the worst possible taste )

The point is that the current WEF policy of reducing the planet's population by half isn't a New Final Solution.

I point out Bill Gates is on the bandwagon, or perhaps dragged behind it like the family taken by the Comancheros in "The Outlaw Josey Wales"

https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-gates-va ccine-idUSL1N2MF1L8

For...Reasons... The Uber-rich of the WEF and CCP and Green Party all prefer the unenlightened use of force or subterfuge in mass sterilization programs to reduce population growth, as opposed to the raising of poor nations and cultures to Civilization and abundant wealth, that then inevitably lowers the birthrate by CHOICE and arguably enlightened self interest.

I further point out that the "paranoid" reactions of both today's conservative fringe and several Third World Presidents to Forced Vaccination, fearing dishonest sneaky sterilization, is well rooted by the Watermelon Cult following of Dr. Ehrlich, it's Fundamental Dishonesty, and it's calls for the development of Exactly That. A vaccine to mass sterilize under the cover of preventing disease.

So you Might be Paranoid. But They Are Out to rule you. By any means necessary. Including using junk/disproved theories to justify mass murder on a Biblical scale.

Re: the volcanic burst story...well...prove to me the CO2 did it.

My bet is the acres and acres of HOT FREAKIN LAVA made the ocean temps go up, and since the planet is what...75% water? It was like a pot on the stove.

Hot water does that.

I agree. Also, the time delta between the co2 release and the warming is too great for there to be causality.

actually, the latest CO2 increase and Global Warming DOES have a causality relationship.

The planet is getting warmer from the last cold spell, naturally, and that warmed the oceans, and THEN the CO2 went up as the warmer waters released it.

Cause, effect, timeline, all fairly evident.

That the Cult uses that, told backwards, is just another aspect of the Fundamental Dishonesty of the Left.

That we are still finding and dating massive lava flows that did massive change to the environment, just shows how much more we have to learn.

Every generation seems to have the same two "realizations" or cliches.

The kids today are all messed up.

We got everything figured out now that we have... quantum physics, gene mapping, atomic theory, Laws of physics, a table of elements, know how to read crow entrails, the right angle to hit two rocks against each other so one gets sharp. etc.

The first one is both true, and shows that few people remember what idiots they were when younger, and even fewer how little they changed. After all, each generation gets raised by the one their elders despaired...

The second is completely backwards. The more we learn, the less we know as a percentage of understanding reality.

just to pick one. ( the sharp rock thing is still in use, and obsidian knives are used in eye surgery. ) The Human Genome Project did an awesome job of assembling a list of genes. I do NOT disparage that, it was Huge. So now we have a coded list of genes. We are just barely beginning to understand how they interact, change, and produce effects in people. The scratch on that surface is barely visible. The code key is still a big mystery.

Based on thousands of years of scientific progress, the first results of Gene Stuff will be destructive and horrifying. Breaking stuff is easier than building. Script kiddie bioweapons are pretty much inevitable.

It's a race... either we get a cross between Kentucky Bluegrass, and California Sinsemilla you can play 18 holes on then get wasted on, or a cross between the Common Cold and some Bat virus that will kill millions.

Oh crap.

From the article, regarding low flow toilets. The first ones that hit the market were terrible. They were not engineered to be low flow and functional, just low flow. Modern low flow toilets work better than the old high flow ones. The old toilets drain, not so much flush. With the new ones you could flush a Dachshund puppy. I mean, not that you would.

Multi flush lousy toilets are what you get with regulations vs. Consumer demand.

Kohler will be happy to develop and test a low consumption high function toilet, if the customers want one. They have. They were available before the law.

Function wasn't a part of the regulation since function isn't the point of regulation activists. ( They don't think their dumps stink, either )

Agreed. Right there with you. But a properly engineered toilet sure is nice. I wonder if that would have happened had they not been forced to make them work using less water? I am not advocating regulation; just a thought exercise.

By a geography quirk, German coal is crap. They have lots of it, and at shallow depths, so strip mining is SOP.

Back when warships used coal, the German Navy ( which had multiple names last century as the government changed from Royalty to Socialist to half Socialist & half Socialist, to ... ) had a limited supply of imported high quality coal, mined in the UK, which unfortunately was their enemies in 2 World Wars and that had dire consequences.

Crud coal burns cooler, so less steam per ton. Pollutes a Lot more, which wasn't a big deal at sea, but did an acid rain job on European forests, until modern pollution scrubbers. And it burns dirty, which clogs boilers faster. And 19th and early 20th century ship boilers were State of the Art pain to maintain with frequent, regular manual labor. Literally taking long metal rods and pounding hard deposits into chunks to get them out.

Which in real world terms, meant the ships were slower than when they were tested with Good English Coal, got slower faster, and so much faster that running them across the North Sea to bombard a British seaside town and try to get a quick battle with good odds, generally resulted in ships crawling back into German ports needing boiler work. In just days.

That's what powers Germany today now that the Greenies shut down Nuclear ( because a Tsunami is a big problem in central Europe for the stupidly insane ) and converted to imported Russian fuel.

What really annoys the German government isn't the blackouts, it's American pundits chanting "Trump was right!" .

And then there's the UK, which is using biomass to play medieval indulgences games. Meaning they are burning wood shipped from America. Entire forests.

Inevitably, the lands ruled by Greenies are the most polluted. Pity irony is lost on religious fanatics.

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/01/19/a-critical- examination-of-the-six-pillars-of-climate-change-d espair/

One of the nice things about understanding the Reality of planetary doom, is there is no need for despair.

Oh, I don't know if it's going to be a supervolcano, cometary impact, or an even more exotic doom that Will Wipe Out a majority of humanity, but the odds are a solid 100%. ( the interstellar passersby, Oumuamua, showed the probability of a massive solar flare from kinetic impact was much higher than expected. And even Elon doesn't own enough Delta V to get Bruce Willis to the position & vector to save us )

And we've known my whole life that eventually the Sun will swell, boil the seas, and engulf our cinder of a homeworld in red hot coronasphere gas.

Not to mention the eventual heat death of the Universe.

Maybe it's because of my personal religious beliefs that a distant doom holds little existential terror for me.

The knowledge that the doom criers of the Climate Cult are lying also protects me from existential despair about the imaginary crisis they wreck young lives with fear of. It's just not going to happen.

I can, however, experience rage against the evil pricks that ruin life in my own time. The crimes against humanity, the suicides, the tyranny, all fall into the category of scale of personal experience.

Nobody can stop a volcano, Bruce Willis is retired from Asteroid Disposal, and thus no one can stop a kinetic impact, and naked drummers or chanting won't change the Sun's evolution into a red giant.

Isn't there a saying about "things I cannot change"?

But lying thieves exploiting fear and oppressing the innocent, actually are a cause any good person can oppose. The challenge is immense, the morality is certain, and the task difficult.

Let others despair. I'm defiant.

Nothing better than hearing chairmen of giant corporations telling us to eat bugs. Back in the '30's, industrialists loved cooperating with their government that only wanted the best for the citizens, especially in his country.

Dr Jordan B Peterson examines the current energy crisis, the globalist ideology that simultaneously fuels it while calling for the sacrificial demise of the poor, and what this truly means for Europe's future, if not the entire world.

25 minutes, so perhaps too long for some folk's attention span. ; )

The doc points out something in the video above this link, that I've been aware of for a long time. Poor people don't care about the environment, because they are too busy trying not to starve to death or freeze to death. can't care if you are dead. Rich people want to live in a nice place. duh. Everyone does, but you need wealth to do so.

The second best predictor of economic success, for a country/city/whatever is if there's a middle class and how big it is as a percentage.

That's for the simple reason, that While Rich people get things done, they don't do it themselves. They hire people to move the mountains for them. Or dig up the precious rocks you need to make stuff.

You can dig ditches with crews of low income and skills. ( but not NO skills. Even digging takes skill to do it efficiently without hurting yourself ) Or you can use machines, and people with quite a lot of skill, which will naturally need to be paid more. That ditch digging machine doesn't just need an operator. It need mechanics, and a factory with heavy machines that all need highly skilled and well paid people.

But by golly, you can dig ditches at a lower cost per mile and far faster per dollar, with machine help and middle class skilled workers, than with manual low skill workers.

Or there wouldn't be a ditch digging machine industry.

Prosperity is directly related to the availability and cost of energy. If the only power you have is muscles and wind, then the wind, which is diffuse and hard to collect and focus power, is only available to the rich, who can afford to build wind mills.

It's called a mill because the first uses for wind is to move water, and mill grain, both massively labor intensive and hard jobs. The Miller family in a typical village doesn't need their own farm, because they trade a service, just like the Tanner family, and the Shoemakers, and the Smiths.

That ditch digger needs food and water. Or diesel and oil, for the version that makes a bigger profit.

If you have energy cheap enough to power it.

So the "Globalists" which are more accurately described as Would be Kings, know these things, or they'd be too stupid to be billionaires. They Know cheap abundant energy is better for the people, and thus better for the environment, and they don't care.

They want to rule. F&*^ you. They literally want to eliminate half the planet so they can rule without feeding the peasants any more than they have to. THEIR utopia is no utopia for you. It's just for them.

They even make pretty little ads to tell you that it's best if you don't have to worry your pretty little head about the grown up things they will run for you. Sucker.
