Until my parents had their genes tested, I thought I had some Native American blood, but don't. My cousins do, and even more married into the extended family, but I'm almost pure pale blue northern European. Some Spanish in there, from the sinking of the Armada, which may explain why so many of the family were lifeguards.  Descended from the best swimmers. However, that's also true on my Mother's side, which is nearly pure Norse. On reflection, the good swimmer thing still applies. I'd like to think there's a genetic "sheepdog" aspect there too, but that's probably just wishful. Certainly both branches had, shall we say, aggressively militant history. Sad story about Princess Fakefeather. I have a tiny bit of empathy for Liz Fauxahontas Warren, there are allegedly parallels with "black sheep" family members rumored ( ha! they're all horny under the prim & proper, don't be fooled! ) to have married native Americans. The difference is, I admit I was wrong, and she pathologically cannot. Pretty common problem, especially with leftists who regularly practice self deception. And I have to point out that we haven't had a lot of Right Wing leaders, or movement, in the 20th century, in America. Aeself? The good news is this mostly tries to introduce new words into the language instead of changing the meanings of existing ones, aka, lie. I really don't know what most of these mean past the obvious they/them implying multiple personality disorders. I've complained about the balkanization of sexuality. Divide and conquer. Gay vs. Straight, Lesbian vs. Trans, etc. But I heard a young lady explain she didn't think her preference, her "kind" existed until she got a label. She felt all alone and unloved. My initial response was... Welcome to the club. We are all alone and have a hard time finding kindred spirits. In part because we all live somewhere on the bell curves of human variations. And... There's no manual. So a list of menu choices may have a place. If only to find your particular kink or preference of partner. But the downside is when the attitude is "no substitutes!" you are locked into a category, never to escape or grow. It's too easy to say this lost young one clings to a label to give herself value. You wouldn't be "wrong" because she is, but it's not the complete, holistic truth. Her new label identity helped her find a place in society she thinks she can fit in. Telling her we all are lost souls seeking another doesn't help her. Exactly how the sexuality social matrix mutated from "tolerate difference" to triggered utter intolerance , I don't know. The change from "demand equal rights" and living without fear of being assaulted for being weird, ( both only fair and reasonable ) to "demand praise" might be a generational shift. Participation Trophies and the privileged "no one loses if no one wins" attitude produces spoiled brats? How it went from Will & Grace to you Must accept child abuse & a sexual Gestapo putting symbols on people to sort them into Loved & Cancelled? In just a few years girls seeking sex change drugs and surgery has become the New Fad. With a 25% suicide attempt rate? That's not good based simply on results, eh? This should be a multi sided dialog and learning about ourselves and others. It's the most diverse and confusing part of growing up. So, sure, a cheat sheet would be nice. Instead it's a divisive, exploitive, and dishonest problem, especially the education system. "inform on your parents" and "don't tell your parents what we teach here!" to "run away from home, get free hormone shots" and "here's a chat room to talk to adults about sex and meet up with them", seems like progression through the circles of Hell. | ||
