So Badweb has a new censorship algorithm. Instead of doting "••••••" out cuss words, it makes you take them out completely. That's nice. I'm sure it will contribute to a kinder gentler Badweb. But will pics with wieners drawn on the president's head still be okay? Because it seems as long as the target is Biden, the rules of civility are absent around here. And make no mistake, I am not a fan of Biden. I'm just calling it for what it is. | ||

Can you please provide the list of the censored words? We can develop a language to replace those words but still assume those. For instance instead of F word we can use "fusk". (Message edited by TPEHAK on March 21, 2022) | ||

Tpehak: There is no need to create even more cryptic acronyms, you'll be fine. I tend to save those words for when they are really needed in the heat of the moment. I've also rarely been riled enough to to feel a need to take the time to type them anyway. If I have the time to type them, I have the time to take a deep relaxing breath, and use other words to describe a viewpoint. | ||

Is the cause of our increasing gas prices something that Joe did? I keep seeing all these stickers telling me this is so. When I go get gas. I remember "whip-it"s. In the restaurant industry, these were used to whip heavy cream for desserts. Nitrous oxide canisters... methinks there are folks who are using these JUST before enacting state and federal legislation. YMMV, DAMHIK, and DILLGAF. | ||

Price of oil began its climb the day Biden was elected. Biden has promised to ‘end fossil fuels’. When you make those promises, then become president, it has a chilling effect on investments in the oil patch. So, yeah, he did that. | ||

Joe* cancelled permits to drill on federal land. ( as did Barry the weasel ) He, Joe*, specifically, didn't start the movement to deny loans and banking services to fossil fuel companies, that was Soros & the CPUSA, but the Joe* regime "embraced" the Cancel culture loophole to legal banking services. ( pesky laws that say you can't deny service based on race creed color sex, etc. ) And by "embraced" I mean the same people write the scripts for the Media to pretend fake outrage to create real rage by lying about reality, as wrote them under America's First ( multiple labels, pick your own ) President. Business and Revolutionary partner to Unrepentant Nazi George Soros. The price of oil is determined by the futures market. Millions of people betting on the price to rise or fall. Joe* announced he will destroy the sinful industry, they bet supply will fall. Duh. The price of gasoline at the pump is determined by the individual gas station owner, or corporation that owns the chain. The price is, simply, the result of a calculation, ( how many gallons sold each week. ( or whatever time unit between trucks filling the tanks under the station ) and a Guess, what the NEXT truck will charge per gallon. Because you write the check when the truck arrives. And the money you make has to cover the NEXT truck, or you go out of business. It's the Naked Free Market in action. The Real Thing, not an intellectual exercise. The 7/11 franchise store I worked at had the owner drive to work each day, THEN tell me to go change the signs while she pushed the buttons, so her price was close to the rest in the area. If ours was too high, sales dropped. She wouldn't have the money to buy the next truck load. If ours was too low, we'd have a run on our station, run out of gasoline, and not have the money to buy the next truck load. My buddy, years later, who worked at a quickie Mart ( not spelled like that ) local chain, would get calls @ 1 or 3 am. to change the prices at the pump. It's the cutting edge of the market system. Every station & chain owner read the news, looked at the market trends, and MADE A BET to keep their profit ( near zero ) and customer good will ( they don't screw me worse than the bandits across the street ) to stay in the REAL business, making a profit on cigarettes, beer, and soft drinks. It's not a grand conspiracy that prices on the local strip are within pennies. It's defensive, enlightened self interest and a herd behavior phenomenon just like the stock market! If you have the right window seat at the right restaurant ... You can watch the prices change in a wave. The McDonald's or Taco Bell, on Peach Street in Eire PA ( expressway exit ) has a decent view of the row of gas stations. I've watched the domino effect as each station changes in the morning. So, yeah. It's Joe*. When the SAME people that jacked inflation on Purpose when they worked for Barry, openly, wishing gasoline prices were as high as Europe's, so they could herd you sheep into giving up suburban homes and pickup trucks, and motorcycles, to live in their city hive welfare state socialist utopia ( for the Masters ) are in charge today? What direction would YOU bet the prices go? It's not rocket surgery. | ||

Btw, I'm not fond, myself, personally, of Richard drawings on the faces of politicians as political commentary. I prefer more clever, thought provoking, discourse.  I'm relatively hard to offend, being an adult, and not a spoiled child, or ( word for feline ) as was the common vernacular in the 20th century. F$%& Woke. It's fake and self promotion. Victimization theater. It's good to be educated and AWARE that reality isn't the simple half lies Taught in grade school and by tv. Slavery existed! You should know who was for it, and against. Who voted to leave the Union to keep slavery. That Abraham Lincoln only exercised dictatorial powers to censor journalists and free the slaves in the Rebel lands, AFTER the Democrat Party of the South declared war and started artillery strikes... One of these days, Patrick, friend, we must ride and reflect upon life. You and I would likely be quite like myself and Vern. Vern is nothing but a brilliant mind, a great friend and brother to me, who shines only a bit differently than I... in my humblest opinion. Yin and yang. I have studied quite a bit of things... yet, I'm dumber than I look. Lately, in both personal and universal realms, I refer to Kahlil Gibran's poem "Your Thought and Mine". I MUST acquire another copy of "The Prophet". YMMV, and I surely hope to both offend and enlighten anyone I can call a friend. I know Ray Wylie, on his periphery... here ya go.
